Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic olde world feel, a great mix of boutique business here.
You certainly WON'T FIND Kmart or Target here!
This is a great spot for a special afternoon tea/coffee or that special occasion piece of bling
    Loved it

Thoroughly enjoyed the City Watch House tour this morning. Our “Charge Sergeant” tour guide was fantastic. She was in character from the moment we began and set the perfect atmosphere. She was incredibly knowledgeable and informative.

Popped into the Cathedral during a visit to Melbourne. What a beautiful building. Such amazing architecture within a very modern city. The interior is amazing, and we gatecrashed a wedding, so was extra special. No entrance fee, they just seek a donation, and have a very good gift shop. Great way to spend and hour or so just thinking, admiring and praying.

This area was filled with small shops and restaurants that was only about a half mile from our hotel. It was very convenient to walk there to grab a quick bite or a cup of coffee. The vendors on DeGraves Street were very reasonably priced. We generally like to make an effort to support small businesses wherever we go.

I stayed on Collins at the Intercontinental Rialto. It is a good street to wander for its architecture and the fancy shops.

A icon in CBD, the historical train station keeps working now to provide the public transportation service to people. Good place to take some photos. Enjoy.

This review relates to Max’s in Hardware Lane. Busy, really loud, really nice meals. Have been a couple of times and always nice.

A historical building with designated construction in CBD. Lots of tourists stop by, taking the photos before heading to the next destination. Enjoy.

It was interesting and worth the walk. Many local people did not know about it. Some of the surrounding streets are a bit grubby. However the art is worth the visit. Would love for the local council and surrounding businesses and restaurants to show the area a little more love and attention

Stunning building made all the much better with the lovely large Christmas tree. Was very quiet to walk around just before lunch but seemed much busier when we walked past later in the day.

The historic St Francis Church is the oldest Catholic Church in Melbourne. It was built in 1841; it is one of the few structures in Melbourne pre-dating the Great Australian Gold Rush of 1851. Although the exterior looks plain, the interior, with its timber ceiling and colorful stained-glass windows, is quite beautiful. The church is named for St Francis of Assisi, founder of the Franciscan Order. Mass is said every day of the week.

The cathedral-esque ANZ Bank boats gilded ceilings. This sandstone monument to commerce is truly stunning. The ANZ Bank Museum is located in Collins St. The ANZ Bank has been thriving since the days of the Great Australian Gold Rush.
