Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited with my wife as part of a side street tour. This is the final part of the street art horseshoe and depicts street art celebrating this famous band.

This area is in the free tram zone and we took 86 down and 30 out. There is plenty of good walking around here and we enjoyed the breeze on this hot day.

Presgrave Place is a unique to Melbourne's small scale street art scene, with framed mixed-media works. Palgrave Place can be a trifle hard to find, but it's worth the effort.

The art is clever and interesting but Duckboard Place could also be described as quite grotty and bordering on unpleasant because of trash and trash bins and general untidyness. There are some interesting restaurants in the lane and worthy of a look and go for the art, some of which is very good.

A little slice of green space in the city not far from Melbourne University. It's about the size of a small city block.

Would you go out of your way to see it? No. It's just a small park area.
Does it have anything of artistic value you just have to see? No. As above.

However it is a pleasant area to 'take 5' if you feel the need and no doubt many university students over the years have done just that in between classes or similar.

Moonee Valley Racecourse has undergone some renovations to increase its public appeal. The old Tote building has been upgraded. Tote Park now has a fashionable bistro, which serves appetizing meals. There is also a playground, which is suitable for older children. Two champions of the turf are commemorated. There is a statue of champion mare Winx, now retired, and the great sprinter, Manikato.

This piece of street art is located on the corner of Swanston and La Trobe Streets outside of the State Library of Victoria. The structure is pyramid in shape and constructed of steel onto which bluestone slabs have been affixed so that it blends into its surroundings. It looks as though it has just risen out of the pavement which is also covered in bluestone pavers. It has been partly inscribed in gold lettering with the word "Library".

This clever piece of art is the work of Petrus Spronk a Dutch born Australian. The artwork was installed in 1992.

Bank Place is one of those endearing Melbourne-y places... another inviting, small laneway that you find scattered amongst this city.

The laneway running roughly north-south between Collins Street and Little Collins Street. Located in the heart of the financial sector, Bank Place features a well-preserved stretch of pre-war architecture, with buildings dating from the 1860s to the 1920s.

Several buildings in the precinct are heritage listed on both the Victorian Heritage Register and also by the National Trust of Australia due to their historic and architectural importance.

Arriving here on the last day of Winter, the laneway glistened with rain and looks like something from an old movie. Well worth visiting if you are in the city.

This smaller beach runs between Sandridge Beach to the west and Princes Pier to the east and was created with the apartment development behind. I can recall this area was not that attratcive way back and it looks better now.

This War Memorial is dedicated to the Parkville boys who never came home from World War I. Their names are listed. The Memorial was dedicated by Brigader General "Pompey" Elliott, a hero of the war. The memorial shows an Autralian soldier, standing at attention.
