Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Jeffry bEssendon, Australia13,836 contributions'Angel' is one of Melbourne's most striking sculptures. Fashioned by Deborah Halpern, it's located near the Yarra River, in the Birrarung Marr parklands. The Angel has two heads and three legs, it's worth spending time to speculate on this Angel's quixotic structure.Written 4 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jeffry bEssendon, Australia13,836 contributionsLarry Latrobe is a lost dog. The first Larry Latrobe was stolen, and the current Larry Latrobe is anchored very securely into the ground. Larry looks like a dog, or perhaps a pig. There seems little doubt that Larry Latrobe was named after Lt Governor Charles Joseph Latrobe, first Governor of Victoria, who made many civic improvements.Written 5 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jeffry bEssendon, Australia13,836 contributions"The Guardians" are a pair of sculptures by Simon Rigg. The sculptures are at the east end of the Crown Promenade. They are quite distinctive. They are made of Italian statuary marble and clad with colorful ceramic tiles. It's hard to say what their intention is, but they are eye-catching.Written 7 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
