Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic olde world feel, a great mix of boutique business here.
You certainly WON'T FIND Kmart or Target here!
This is a great spot for a special afternoon tea/coffee or that special occasion piece of bling
    Loved it

These gardens are a hidden treasure, peaceful and serene, beuatifully maintained a credit to the gardeners.
The fairy tree has magical qualities and it requires a number of visits to fully understand, if you believe in fairies, this a centre piece of their world here. It has, had some welcome additions over the years but not to much. Close to the City but miles away in peace and quiet to cleanse your soul.

A terrific area to stroll, find something to eat in pleasant surroundings, find a play, people watch, or drop into a museum. I found this to be an endless fountain of joy.

It is a very handy location. It has a wide range of shops, cinemas, food facilities, is on top of a metro station, next to busy tram lines, and across the road from the public library. I am often passing through here and frequently pop in for food or coffee. There is much to choose from. Sometimes I just come in to be out of the weather.

I stayed on Collins at the Intercontinental Rialto. It is a good street to wander for its architecture and the fancy shops.

A lovely Heritage building in Carlton Gardens in the heart of Melbourne, the building was built between 1879 to 1880 as an Exhibition building. We could not gain entry to the building, the building looks a little tired & could have a new paint job.

Good range of meats but lacking that smoked overload. Large platters to share and all enjoyed dishes but needed sauces.

A icon in CBD, the historical train station keeps working now to provide the public transportation service to people. Good place to take some photos. Enjoy.

This review relates to Max’s in Hardware Lane. Busy, really loud, really nice meals. Have been a couple of times and always nice.

A historical building with designated construction in CBD. Lots of tourists stop by, taking the photos before heading to the next destination. Enjoy.

Centrally located with easy access to lots of hotels, dining & retail nearby. There is a mid sized COLES supermarket nearby. The only stop for the Airport Skybus - great that the alighting & drop off points are sheltered inside the station.

Chapel Street is one of Melbourne's more interesting streets. Or perhaps it used to be, depending on one's point of view. It is full of all types of shops, especially cafes and restaurants where you can sit and enjoy a coffee or whatever. When we visited a few years ago it was quite nice and lively. This time around the atmosphere seems to have changed. Perhaps the pandemic is to blame. Still, it's worth a visit if you are in the vicinity.
