- Tania H1 contributionFabulous day on the beautiful Great Ocean Road! Epic views of the coastline. Lucy was a wonderful guide, with great explanations about the history of the area and animals of the area. We did a short walk through a beautiful rain forest, and I saw my first Koala in the wild. - Jack C9 contributionsWhen planning our honeymoon I knew 2 things. My wife loved penguins, and she has always wanted to go to Australia. This trip allowed us to have the experience of a lifetime. The stop at moonlit sanctuary allowed us to feed kangaroos and wallabies and see more of Australia’s amazing wildlife such as a Tasmanian devil. We then stopped off at the Nobbies and saw some incredible coastline. Finally, we got to watch the penguin parade. Where we saw hundreds of little penguins waddle their way to their nests and gather amongst their friends.
Throughout all of this and the travel in between, we had the wonderful Fred, who is now a far away friend sharing his knowledge and passion for Melbourne, animals and life. - Meredith KPhiladelphia, PA41 contributionsThe tour was absolutely perfect. It checked all the boxes I wanted: kangaroos, koalas, and wine. Plus more! My guide, Rob, was absolutely lovely and knew so much about all the animals in the sanctuary and about the wine. Both wine venues were beautiful, and having our our little menu or tasting was great. The kangaroo for lunch is not to be missed! It was a long day, but it went by so fast. Everyone had such a wonderful time, it was super chill and included some delicious drinks and food at Myrtaceae Winery, T'Gallant, St Andrews Brewery and Penni Avenue. Alex was an incredible driver and had us pumping tunes all day to keep the vibe going. His contests about Aussie trivia, corny dad jokes, and much more personalized attention kept the trip exciting and interesting. Warren is a fantastic ambassador for wine hopon and coastal tours.
