Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited Melbourne from the United States and wanted a pampering spa day for Valentines Day. We picked the right spa! Everyone was very accommodating, friendly, and professional. The place is very clean and the services are top notch. Cocoa's hot stone massage was absolutely incredible! We enjoyed the three hour package and only wanted more when we were done. Thank you ladies for making our experience so great!

I was visiting from Tasmania and having not swum for a while decided to get back into it and chose the nearby Melbourne Baths. The baths were first opened in 1860 and are in a lovely brick building at the top end of Swanston St. The indoor pool has clear skylights to view the taller buildings and the sky and is an odd length of 30 metres. The water is clean and warm (about 25 degrees I’m guessing) which is cool enough for laps and warm enough for leisurely activities. There are only a few lanes and the patrons, when I visited, obeyed the signs and kept to the left making laps a breeze. The changing rooms are clean and have lockers available for no charge. The hot water is abundant in the showers and there is even a iron and ironing board to spruce up your apparel before leaving! Another nice touch is the tog drier that spins your swimmers for 10 seconds to dry. There is also a sauna and spa and a gym/fitness centre which I did not visit. The admission fees are on par with Tasmanian pools with concession entry under $6 (Jan 2024). Highly recommended.

It's very easy to miss this gym, but once inside it's hard to forget!
It's the perfect environment to train.
No fancy decor, no photos of actors smiling pretending that they're enjoying their intense cardio session.
White brick walls, mirrors and a mural of Arnie signed by the man himself!

This is a gym for people who want to focus, no fancy images or TVs in every corner to distract you.
The only time I could train was in the early hours of the morning, so I'd bounce to this gym when I finished work at 1am to get my workout done.

Lucy and her colleagues (Cecily and Daina) are truly caring professional therapists with a total focus on the customer and their comfort. Some of the other reviewers have mentioned some price issues but I've never experienced any problems in the past 3 years I've been visiting and the service is worth every cent (and more). Pay less and get lower quality if you want. There are so many other spa venues in this city but none achieve the exceptional quality and care which Lucy brings. The lomi is outstanding.

Classes weren't expensive at all! Only $5! Was amazed at how many types of classes there were, and the staff were so friendly and helpful!
