- stephntrentGeelong, Australia196 contributionsBooked this as a surprise birthday gift for my mother-in-laws 60th and her friends, she had an absolute ball. 2 hours was the perfect amount of time, the room was clean, food and drinks were good, staff friendly.

Initially when you walk in the venue is loud and there was no signage/help from staff when asking about where we were supposed to be (we had to go back outside and wait for the organiser of the party, when they asked, the staff had an answer)
When delivering food to our karaoke room, it was just left on a table without telling us who ordered it (as several people ordered the same/similar items this was a bit confusing)
All in all it was a good night though! I found the sound quality poor for this singing room and the mikes kept running out of charge.
The bar area really needs working on. On floor 1 there was a small bar and 1 till. This would leave a queue on the landing and not much space. We kept being encouraged to put money on the room but we wanted to pay for our drinks. There was a self service order machine on the ground floor - but this meant going up flights of stairs with your drinks. It just didn't seem to work. I decided to book FM Karaoke because they had a flexible package for a Saturday night - there is the option of free open karaoke or you could book a private room: per hour or as a package deal. I decided to go with a 2 hour booking which was room hire only for $50ph. In hindsight I should have selected the silver package! I booked via email and I wasn't required to make a deposit. Sun and his team were great on the night. The karaoke machine was easy to navigate and massive selection of songs. We got the Roman Theme room which was a perfect fit for 12 girls. FM Karaoke could improve their rooms with dim lights or have the party lights operating. Some of the guests did complain about the seats being sticky (probably spillages of drinks from a previous group) but overall it was a fantastic night. This place does get busy so I recommend you book in advance if you want a private room, it is also close to a tram stop so its convenient and the open karaoke bar had a great vibe on Saturday night.
