Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great views and easy trip from Hobart. Short walk from the car to the viewing area. Good short visit from Hobart and convenient if you have a car.

Was an amazing tour through the brewery. The girl that took us round was very informative and very engaging to the group. Learnt a lot about the brewing process and did enjoy the drink when we finished would definitely recommend this tour

Not the biggest gardens but definitely very beautiful! Being from QLD we seldom see bunnies around, but little bunnies and ducklings were all over the place (bunnies are probably a pest but gorgeous nonetheless) the variety of plants was amazing and some of the old trees were awe inspiring. Worth a couple hour stroll for sure, and free to get in :)

This is a must do just for the experience. I am not really a market person and found most of the products really expensive but it is popular and good to tick off your must do list. I love Hobart so it is nice to experience all it has to offer

We were staying at Battery Point and enjoyed the sculpture trail. It was a pleasant walk that provided an insight into the history of the area. Two great pieces of trivia were sculptures 313 - number of boats launched in the 1800s from Battery Point shipyards and 1909 - the year Errol Flynn birth at Sandy Bay. A further benefit was the option to stop for a coffee in Battery Point and a drink at Salamanca.

There are many ways to get to the lookout, signal station, and fabulous retaurant atop Mt Nelson, but walking the Truganini Track (about 2kms) from Cartright reserve on Sandy Bay Road is one of the best. It's a relaxing leafy experience with an abundance of birds. Moderate fitness is required as it climbs 300 metres. As a mid-70's couple we found it reasonably challenging, but we enjoyed a fabulous meal break at the restaurant, and an even more welcome coffee on completion. Note the Cartright reserve coffee van is not always open. We have marked this experience down from 5 star to 4 as the track needs some repair, with many of the steps getting old and by-passed. The slight downmark to this experience is about the state of the track. NOT a negative reflection on the interest of the signal station, or the restaurant. The staff and food there are top-notch. Having visited signal stations in the north of the State, Port Dalrymple (Georgetown), Mt. Direction (also a great walk), and Windmill Hill (Launceston), we can say that the information and historical memoribilia displayed at Mt Nelson is easily the best. Highly recommended.

What an amazing experience!! Spectacular views, freshest, biggest and most delicious oysters, beautiful artisan cheese, chocolates, and non-stop fun filled with highlights all day!! My girls and I had the best time. This tour was very well put together from hotel pick up to being spoilt with food and treats and most beautiful spots! The views from top of the lighthouse was so worth it - magnificent 360 degrees! We had the best tour guide who had a beautiful calm energy and knew the island inside-out - thank you Marina. You made this a magical day! Outstanding experience and highly recommend!

A ‘cruise’ isn’t quite the word for it. It is more a boat tour with a little bit of thrill seeking. There is also a limited time of the year in which they take the boats all the way from Eagleneck to Port Arthur around Tasman Island so best to check that prior to booking.
The tour itself is amazing. You checkin at site office in Port Arthur, get an oversized rain jacket and board a bus that takes you 20 mins north to the dock where you board a boat. After a safety briefing you head out to view many amazing geological formations and if you are fortunate a lot of marine life from seals, dolphins, seabirds and penguins. The ride from each location can get a little bumpy now and then but they do explain before you board that it is less bumpy the further back you are in the boat plus they do provide free ginger tablets for those that don’t handle sea travel. The skipper and deck hand have so much knowledge and happy to answer questions plus they give ample time to stand up and take pictures before moving on to the next location. Walked away from this tour as one of the best boat tours I’ve ever done.

As a family, we have done many boat cruises in many countries and across different sceneries and this ranks as most likely the best we have ever experienced. Super comfortable boats operating in potentially rough seas with highly professional crews. To see common dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, albatross, Australian fur seals, long-nosed fur seals and a humpback whale exceeded our expectations. And then there are the caves, blow holes and cruise-through rock formations. We had extra time out there beyond the 3 hours because our crew expertly interacted with the dolphins, leaping all around us and surfing our bow waves - exhilarating! Our day was sunny but cold (even in December) but the seas were mercifully calm so that we visit a cave on the Southern Ocean side. Totally awesome!

Best massage I have had! Amanda Q was friendly, professional and an absolutely excellent masseuse. The spa itself is also gorgeous, clean and relaxing. Would absolutely recommend stopping by for some pampering.

    To whom it may concern,
The tour was perfect. The tour guide and the vineyard staff were very helpful. They were friendly and answered many questions of us. The wines were good and the environment was excellent.

This January 2024, I joined Roaring 40ºs Kayaking for their 4 day kayaking camping and hiking tour of the Tasmanian wilderness in Bathurst Harbour. This World Heritage area offers up exquisite views with mountain peaks and waterways that lead to challenging windy bays and serene sheltered inlets. Lovely sandy beaches were perfect landing spots for great picnic lunches swims and hiking. We experienced three full days of kayaking through different weather conditions and every bit of it was fun, challenging, beautiful, incredibly peaceful and educational. At the end of each unforgettable day we would return to base camp, our comfortable tents, a change of clothes, a glass of wine, a great dinner and interesting conversations. Our guides were personable, highly skilled, observant and excellent communicators. They shared all their expertise and knowledge with grace, humor and perfect timing.

Thank you Roaring 40ºs Kayaking. This is a trip that I will be talking about for years to come.
