Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This January 2024, I joined Roaring 40ºs Kayaking for their 4 day kayaking camping and hiking tour of the Tasmanian wilderness in Bathurst Harbour. This World Heritage area offers up exquisite views with mountain peaks and waterways that lead to challenging windy bays and serene sheltered inlets. Lovely sandy beaches were perfect landing spots for great picnic lunches swims and hiking. We experienced three full days of kayaking through different weather conditions and every bit of it was fun, challenging, beautiful, incredibly peaceful and educational. At the end of each unforgettable day we would return to base camp, our comfortable tents, a change of clothes, a glass of wine, a great dinner and interesting conversations. Our guides were personable, highly skilled, observant and excellent communicators. They shared all their expertise and knowledge with grace, humor and perfect timing.

Thank you Roaring 40ºs Kayaking. This is a trip that I will be talking about for years to come.

From start to finish the trip was superb. The organisation, the destinations, the accommodation, the guides were all excellent. Of course Bruny Is has its own magic which added to the experience. I particularly appreciated the skills and knowledge of the guides and the locally sourced food including delicious oysters fish scallops wines and beers. The ranch accommodation was very comfortable with a real rustic feel to it. The daily trips were each totally different and revealed new aspects of Tasmania seascape and bird life. I’ll be back for another trip!

I thoroughly enjoyed my 4-day trip with Andy & Vito as guides for Wild Pedder with Cody joining the group of 5 for 2 days too - we were the lucky ones to do first trip south-west after the bushfires. Mt Sprent walk was quite challenging especially going downhill with other walks in Mt Field very enjoyable and a fantastic day kayaking on Lake Pedder itself. The accommodation and transport were well organised and the meals including wine excellent. An added bonus was a wine tatsting at Meadowbank en route back to Hobart. I would highly recommend Wild Pedder.
