Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- David S29 contributions4 of us spent 8 days traveling/ sightseeing 1500km on motorbikes supplied by Ian @ Moto Adventure Hobart. 3 bikes in excellent condition. Friendly/helpful/accommodating. No problems at all.
Tasmania is motorcycle heaven. We saw plenty but plenty more to see next time. Weather was great so that’s a bonus.Written 2 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - josephine l4 contributionsMy husband and I had a great experience.
The bike shop set us up with brand new Specialised Stump jumpers ( Not e-bikes) for 24 hours and gave us great advice on the North south track on Mt Wellington. They were super friendly. The bike hire came with a lock , back pack, tubes and pumps which is really helpful incase you forget your own kit. The bikes were in excellent condition and set up very well.
I would use them again.Written 7 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RobBrisbane, Australia13 contributionsGreat bike (rented the Scott Addict 30 2022) - picked up from My Ride Hobart (129 Sandy Bay Road), as booked too late for them to deliver (careful as the website doesn't allow for shop opening hours currently). Friendly staff for pick up and return, and helped out with suggested routes. They swapped out the garmin mount for a wahoo and gave me a multitool (missing from the toolbag initially). Lights were great - but you might need to ask for a chargeing cable if that's important - front light was micro-usb which I didn't have. Rear was USB b so no issues. Overall probably recommend shop pick up to iron out any minor issues, and easily rented a Beam e-scooter from across the street to get back to my hotel (must have looked a sight in fully lycra and cleats!). Only oddity is you get charged in USD so end up paying credit card fees. Would highly recommend.Written 20 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Penny TNorth Fitzroy35 contributionsI contacted AvantiPlus in Hobart prior to my trip to Tasmania, to organise hire of a road bike. They were incredibly helpful, and arranged to have a bike of the correct size waiting for me when I arrived. They fitted the right pedals and adjusted the seat in the shop, and when I asked beforehand to have garmin cables put on to record my rides, it was no trouble. They were courteous, professional, friendly, and very committed to bikes (as one might reasonably expect!). Their website has some suggested rides (the commando loop is good), and the Scott road bike I hired came complete with a helmet and lock. That was helpful, because I didn't need to bring them with me. Hobart is a lovely city to ride in and around, and I would thoroughly recommend AvantiPlus to get hold of a bike for your visit.Written 20 September 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
