Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Phil KKingscliff, Australia34 contributionsThis area of Hobart is a must, so much great food and friendly locals. I strongly recomend you take your time to enjoy this area and explore the back alis and laneways, you will be surprised what you will find.Written 19 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dan LBunbury, Australia9,016 contributionsAs we were staying at Crest Waterfront, the pier was but a short walk. I didn't realise that it was a pontoon structure until mentioned by someone on our boat cruise. When I checked, I discovered that it is a four storey floating pier. The MONA ferry operates from there and its a stop for the Red Decker, Mt Wellington Bus, Skybus and others. Good variety of bars and restaurants, and Tasmanian produce stallholders.Written 24 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dan LBunbury, Australia9,016 contributionsI'm always interested in learning something new even if is some time after visiting a location. So it is with Elizabeth Street Pier, I initially thought that it was just an integrated area on the docks but learned that is the last remaining finger wharf in Sullivans Cove, dating to 1930. It's the location of Somerset Apartments, a conference centre and some restaurants and is now privately owned. Like other nearby areas of Franklin Wharf, it's a interesting place to enjoy a stroll.Written 25 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
