We had one day stay in Hobart from the cruise. Although the weather is not as good, our driver and guide Paul tried his best to make us all had fun during the trip. Professional driving as well.

When I got off the ship I purchased a pass for HOHO bus. Road the bus for 90-minutes through the 20 stops. I would have gotten off at the Botanical Gardens but did not see any flowers in bloom. The bus stopped at all the main attractions in town. Well worth the cost.

Our Bruny Island trip was absolutely fantastic!!! Well organised and delivered!!! Our tour guide Claire was just so wonderful, professional and worked tirelessly to accommodate all our needs. She is a true asset to Pioneer Tours!!!! I give Claire and Pioneer Tours AAA rating!!!! And highly recommend this tour company!!! I had done this trip 6 years ago with my Mum and made sure to look them up to book again this time re-visiting Tassie with my husband. And will definitely use them again the next time I come back. Also, I was impressed that 25% of their profits go back to various charities in Tassie such as protecting the environment and wildlife!!! Very impressed!!!

If you do nothing else in Australia, this is the one to do.
Our day was perfect with calm waters. The ride to get there is fine and the employees are extra nice.
We had dolphins, seals, and birds right up to the boat.
We also were able to go inside a cave in our boat.
BEWARE: if you get seasick, this will get to you. Even with the calm sea, the lady by us threw up half of the ride.

A very enjoyable trip, combining superb views with dinner and an informative and amusing commentary. The staff were quietly efficient and polite, everything was done to make us feel welcomed.

Our cruise was 10am and we had guide Jamie and skipper Michael. The weather was great, sea was calm and crew were fantastic. We were lucky enough to see a humpback whale on the trip. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Was our first day visiting Hobart. The walk was an excellent introduction to the history and important features of the centre and for our orientation. The guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. There was a lot of noise from the traffic but she had a good strong voice so no problems hearing everything she said. We learnt some facts you can't find in a guide book or google. Well worth it.

I had an amazing time on my tour with Nathan. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience fun and engaging. The tour was well-organized, and I learned so much about the area’s history and hidden gems. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable experience!

Our party of three had a family holiday in beautiful Tasmania, and visited the landmarks round the Island with the “Famous 5” tour with Under Down Under on January 25—29, 2025. It was a wonderful and fulfilling trip. The itinerary is well-thought of and includes all the main natural scenic sites. Much time is given to hiking in the national parks. The travel logistics are well arranged.

Our guide and driver and host – and our friend when the tour finishes --- Anthony grew up in the West Coast and has travelled around the world before returning home for this “favorite job”. He shared many of his insiders’ and personal stories of Tasmania, which allow us to develop a deeper sense of the places and connect us to what we saw in our visits. His enthusiasm and passions of welcoming his guests and showing them his beloved Island are infectious and make the trip especially warm and memorable. Even the background music broadcast along the long drive is selected with hearts to match the mood of the sites and sights.

We thoroughly recommend the tour to those who would enjoy pristine wilderness and natural landscapes while developing an appreciation in the history of Tasmania and the lives of its people. A big "Thank you" to Under Down Under and to Anthony for bringing us such a lovely holiday.

Two and a half hours you do not want to miss in Hobart. Explore the Derwent estuary right out to the ocean edge at Betsey Island and the Iron Pot Lighthouse. Get up close and personal with the ancient layered cliff faces and caves. Pass within metres of large sea bird colonies. If you are lucky like we were, come quietly up next to a large very handsome Australian Fur seal, sleeping on his back with one flipper up in mid air in the open sea. When he did realise we were there, he did three lazy clockwise rolls, look us clearly in the eye and glided away.
A most enjoyable experience. So well looked after by Luke. Friendly interaction between our fellow travellers.
    Highly recommended.

Great day out with Rob. We were able to choose our own winery destinations and had a few great recommendations aswell. As it was just the two of us we could also stay as long as we wanted at each winery! Highly recommend this tour!

The trip to Mt. Wellington was amazing with spectacular views and many trails getting you into nature. The trip to Richmond needs no more than an hour unless you enjoy going in and out of small shops. The bridge and Catholic Church is worth a view. The shuttle company can drop you off at a nearby winery after an hour in Richmond if you enjoy wine tasting and then pick you back up at the winery on there return trip to Hobart.
