It is lovely to stroll through these markets and the lemon curd doughnuts are to die for!!! Wonderful fresh produce from all over sold by their owners.
Much more authentic and intimate then the main Salamanca market, you really get some beautiful fresh produce and get the sense the locals actually go there to do some shopping each week.

The shop smells amazing and although a bit small the display of chocolates are really good with plenty of flavours to choose from.

Along with editioned prints, cards, cushion covers, tote bags and too many fun gifts to mention, this is also a home for lovers of children's literature, including books by shop owner Jennifer Cossins.

This shop has a great collection of fantasy/scifi novels, board/card games, comics and such etc.
It's kind of hard to find good comic shops in small cities, but Hobart does have Area 52, which is very good.

Elizabeth Mall is probably 3 blocks up from Franklin Wharf (within an easy quick walk from the cruise ship terminal) and an excellent option for window shopping.

We spent a wonderful and informative hour browsing and shopping in this Gallery in the Salamanca area.
To be honest, we were initially underwhelmed as it seemed to consist of small and unimpressive shops with middling trinkets for sale.
