Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Rochelle FRandolph, NJ1,166 contributionsWe went on a Friday to the shops which must carry 80% Tasmanian goods to be located here. It was nice to see the crafts, locally made goods and different artisans. We look forward to seeing the Salamanca market which is only on Saturdays.Written 9 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - robyn aWollongong, Australia33 contributionsIf you're in Hobart when the markets are on they are well worth a visit. We explored the variety of craft, food and drink stalls before find a table and chairs and sitting back enjoying a glass or two of Hurly Burly pinot noir which was very good, listening to the entertainment and enjoying the best spring rolls from Filipino Street food.Written 5 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jacquelinew72Leeds, UK9 contributionsWe visited in April 2022 and then I lost my beautiful lap earrings and Mel recently replaced and sent to the UK speedily, along with three new items I could not resist buying. Rare and Beautiful make gorgeous unique pieces and I wear my gum leaf earrings to death (now have them in silver too). The customer service recently provided (I am an Aussie living in the UK) was exemplary. Really pleased.Written 9 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- OZtraveller222Perth, Australia504 contributionsThere are several small art/craft shops in Salamanca. All sell wonderful items, lots of wood, some jewellery. Probably not the place for interstate travellers to fall in love with items because of their bulk and weight.Written 25 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - westy54Sydney, Australia13,499 contributionsWell positioned shop that offers a wide range of locally made and sourced goods for sale. We were particularly impressed with the beautiful range of paintings and photographs of birds and wilderness and nature settings.
There was also a wide range of other goods for sale with similar themes including jewellery, stationery, books, guides, homewares, soaps, some clothing items and other produce such as teas and olive oils etc.
Prices though, appeared to be geared to the tourist market.Written 23 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I was enjoying my coffee at Muffin Break when the cat played the fiddle and the cow jumped over the moon. Right on the hour - " hey, diddle, diddle the cat plays his fiddle, the cow jumps over the moon, the little dog laughs". There are various tenancies and a Myer store.Written 25 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
