Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The tram is an easy way to get to Glenelg. Explore the beachside suburb and then return to the city. The tram also runs along North Terrace and is free in the CBD.

I took the three day, two night Adelaide to Darwin journey.

When booking you need to take a sharp intake of breath on the price - it is not for the faint of heart or those without access to deep pockets. That said, depsite hesitation on the price, the overall experience was worth it.

The service on the train is second to none. I've not experienced service like this elsewhere in Australia. It comes across as genuine, heartfelt and with a smile that doesn't appear forced at anytime. Train Manager Cam ran a great team - all always smiling and happy to help.

I travelled in the Gold Single cabin and my two travelling companions travelled in Gold Twin cabin. I think I definitely got the better deal with the outfitting of the cabin. The twins are a bit dated whereas the Single cabins and the whole carriage were recently refurbished.

The sink in the room was ample enough for washing my face and cleaning teeth. Fresh bottled water (either new bottles or from filtered taps in small kitchen areas at the end of the carriage) made for a pleasant experience.

The shared bathrooms were large, clean and bright. There were two pokey toilets at one end of the carriage and two shower / toilet rooms at the other end. Despite sounding like not much, there was only one occassion that I tried a bathroom door and it was already in use - so no need to worry about waiting for the shared bathroom.

At six foot five inches (197 cm), the walkways on the carriages were interesting when the train was moving - I had to walk with a slight duck to my head. But in all rooms, the bar and restaurant - plenty of head space so not really an issue.

Once the train is moving, there is a gentle rocking at all times. Some fellow passengers noted they struggled to sleep with this - I however found it very soothing and no problem at all to sleep.

The off train experiences were well planned and move like well oiled machines. Highly recommend following direction of sunscreen, hat, appropriate clothing , and water - it is hot and dry out there in the sunbaked desert.

The food was excellent. The timing and service were again well oiled and slick machines. A good selection of at each meal - incoporating locally sourced produce where possible. Decent sized portions too - I'm not a small guy and I love my food!

One of the endearing parts of this trip was the lack of connectivity. Such a welcome relief in this day and age. For most of the journey there is absolutely no signal - so much time to sit back, watch the Australian outback go by your window, take a nap, share a story with fellow passengers in the bar, read a book, or watch a movie (be sure to download to your device before boarding the train!).

Although I've said this is a once in a lifetime - I'd consider one of the other trips on offer by this company.

Absolutely fabulous trip. Amazing. Had a gold class single sleeper, which was a wonderful little pod. Bed was super comfy. Shared bathroom was never an issue and was spotlessly clean. Food is incredible - I have never eaten so much or so well! Staff are so attentive and sort out any minor issues that may arise. Quality of wines and other drinks very good. All very well organised. Sure, there is some waiting around while loading/unloading, waiting for train lines to be free etc, but what a minor whinge! You are there for the train experience, so that's part of the journey. Nothing to do but sit back and enjoy. Couldn't rate higher.
We were some of the youngest on the journey, but we loved chatting to the older people on the train. Lots of people to meet and new people to eat dinner with daily. Fantastic experience.

Red premium well worth the upgrade. Large spacious, comfortable seats, good service and interesting commentary along the way. Food was good although a glass of wine provided with lunch would not have broke the bank.

We used Barossa Taxis for two return trips to winery functions during our recent stay in the Barossa.

On the first occasion the taxi for both legs was booked by Rockford Winery, where we were going for lunch on a Thursday. The Taxi arrived on time at our accommodation in Tanunda to deliver us to the winery at 12-00 and was waiting for us to return at 5-00pm (having phoned me to advise of its arrival).

On the second occasion I booked the first leg out to Kies winery on the Saturday the day before but was unable to book the return journey being advised that I would have to phone back around the time that we were ready to leave. Again the taxi arrived on time to deliver us to Kies for our function and we had no trouble booking a return from Lyndoch to Tanunda, only waiting about 10 minutes.

The bus station was a 20 min walk from our hotel near Rundle street. It was where we were to be collected for our wine tour and seems to be the place were many of these tours begins.
For a bus station it was very clean with excellent toilet facilities. Only one vending machine for drinks so if you want a snack pick it up on your walk or have it with you already.
    Area well signed.
Park area outside so kids could run around while waiting.
    Staff friendly.

Trip Advisor only has Adelaide Railway Station Info Centre but I did not go there just the station, as get information from the Visitors Centre!
The station first opened in 1856 and only has suburban trains now.
The Casino occupies the majority of the station building, which is no longer required for railway use. Until 1984, Adelaide station was also the terminus for regional and interstate passenger trains, but there are no longer any regular regional train services in South Australia, and all interstate services are now handled at Adelaide Parklands Terminal.

Five of us were toured around the Adelaide area by Andrew who was extremely knowledgeable about the sites we visited. He is very personable, a zen- like driver and flexible when we made changes to the itinerary. The highlight was a private picnic at Goldings Winery where we relaxed on the lawn with a view of the grape vines, sipping a glass of Pinot Gris. I would highly recommend Andrew to anybody who wants an experienced local guide with an engaging personality.

    Hey Travellers,
When you are in Australia I recommend you use the services of AusChauffeur. We had a group travel across Australia and AusChauffeur looked after us everywhere we went. Airport pickups, Winery Tours, Dinners... oh it was so good. Simple and Professional.

The tour with Australian Elements Tours and Charters was absolutely amazing, David went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having a great time while also taking us to some amazing hotspots when we had spare time. He also told us interesting information and history about the different locations we were driving past.
David was not only knowledgeable but was also kind and always had a smile on his face.

Thank you David and Julie for the lovely experience I will never forget.

We hired a 24 seater to take us to McLaren Vale! Communication in the lead up was great and very thorough.

Nathan our driver was so friendly and accommodating. I’d highly recommend.
