Tldr - Book this experience as soon as you know you will be in Adelaide and want to have an incredible time tailored exactly to your tastes.
We arrived via a cruise and had a tour booked for Saturday to Barossa Valley. We happened to come in a day earlier than planned and Bob was gracious enough to accommodate us last minute for a half day tour. He gave us recommendations based on our preferences and knowing that we were already touring Barossa he suggested we take the half day and spend it in the Adelaide hills. We took his recommendations on the wineries and even though it was last minute he had everything planned out on the day. We spent a lovely day in Adelaide Hills with Bob providing us information about the local sites and taking a few detours to let us see as much as we could in a short time.
We were able to get in 3 wineries, a brief stop in Hahndorf, and some site seeing from the car before returning to the ship.
Day 2 was even more incredible. Bob had planned the morning with some bookings including a private experience with a boutique winemaker who took us through his winemaking process before a tasting. It was so fun to start the day hearing directly from the winemakers mouth vs most cellar door experiences with the standard staff.
It's clear Bob is well known and respected by many of the cellar doors and that helped improve each one of our experiences.
Our preference was to experience a variety of wineries from small boutique to bigger names and Bob absolutely nailed it on the recommendations he provided. He planned the morning ahead of time and then took our feedback to pick out the afternoon.
The car we rode in was comfortable and immaculate. He was well prepared with chilled water and a cooler in the back to protect our purchased wine in the summer heat.
Bob answered all of our questions and was truly genuine in sharing his love of Adelaide and his local wine country.
We would book him again in a heartbeat if we return to the region in the future and would highly recommend you do the same.

With Dragan as our friendly and professional driver we visited four high quality wineries. The day was planned for us by Bob and resulted in a day that all of us will not forget. High quality at a very reasonable cost.

Bob talked with us and determined an itinerary for our day. He was fantastic in his selection and in providing the narration along the way. We had a great time and saw and learned a lot.

Bob is very experienced in the area. He knows all about the area and history and businesses and happily shares it with you. What a great time

My wife and I just returned from the 3-day Flinders Ranges & Outback Tour and could not be more pleased. We were surprised when we found out it was just us and our tour leader Mick. He advised us that his tours go regardless of how many sign up. Mick was amazing as he asked us what we wanted to see and adapted the tour to our choices; spending more or less time at each location as we preferred. Immediately it was obvious that Mick knows the areas we travelled to and quickly pointed out kangaroos, emus and a number of other species. His knowledge of Flinders Range and his willingness to stop explain the topography and history of the area was invaluable. He also picked fun (and delicious) spots to shop for snacks and lunches which was especially fun because he seemed to know everyone and they quickly engaged us in conversations. These were unique spots that we probably would never had picked without his input. When I mentioned in passing that I wanted to get my grandson an authentic boomerang, he took us to an Aboriginal acquaintance of his who had a small shop with items he had handmade. If you are considering a tour in the area I would definitely suggest you book this tour. 5 star all the way!

We had 4 on our tour - 2 couples - so there was plenty of room on the vehicle. Im not a person for outback adventures but seeing the mountains was on my bucket list. I really reviewed the various tour operators and came to Mick and he is a fantastic communicator, always ready to answer questions and is not the least bit pushy - so I felt very good about booking with him.
Our driver/guide was Steve who is a very happy person, tells you lots of detail, answers numerous questions and entertained us with stories. He is also an excellent driver and we all felt very safe with him up front. He knows where all the great cake shops are, the nicer toilets and good coffee and sandwich/pie shops along the way. We were in very safe hands.
We were given a list of additional activities and did a flight over wilpena and then a second one over arkaroola. Its a once in a lifetime tour for me and I am so very happy that I spent the money for these flights. They were (costly but) fabulous.
Accommodation at Arkaroola was not as good as Wilpena but both had good food and coffee, a good wine list (by glass or bottle) and lovely staff. There was an included ridge top ride in Arkaroola - four hours in the back bumping around on a gravel track. It was good but I much preferred the flights!
Along the way up and back, Steve took us on extra little adventures and it was a great way for us to learn about the outback and the people who pioneered the area and those that live there still.

Steve definitely made our trip memorable! His great sense of humour, kind nature
and flexibility made for a great trip. The scenery was breath-taking and Steve's knowledge of the areas he took us to extensive. Certainly a lot to see in a short space of time but well worth it. Maybe an extra day to take in Oodnadatta might be worth considering (Lynette says an extra few hours for shopping in Coober Pedy!!).

If you’re looking for an exceptional tour of the Barossa Valley, look no further! From start to finish, working with Dallas and the team to plan a perfect day was seamless and pleasant. From getting to visit lesser known wineries, to learning about Adelaide and the surrounding areas, to tasting some exceptional wine and snacks, Taste the Barossa has you covered. I’ve done a lot of wine tours and this was second to none. Thanks Dallas and team for converting us to not only lovers of Barossa Valley wines but Adelaide in general!
