Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- gbread891 contributionWe had a great time at the Safari park. It was amazing to see the animals, especially the new addition Burma the elephant. We also fed the lions. What an experience that was!

Scenic views. Waterfalls are small in comparison to many others but the best in Adelaide. - Sydneysunsetsydney2,386 contributionsEasy to get to and from via direct bus from Adelaide CBD. Arrived earlier than 10am so the pedestrian entry was closed, walked up the road and entered via the gardens at the main entrance. Paid the entry fee to explore the interior of the house. Morning guided tour (no bookings needed) wasn’t til 11.30am so short walk to the new cafe at the carpark and had a delicious scone with jam & cream and coffee. Yum! Only a small group in our free guided tour. Diane was our guide and she was superb. Just over an hour and we learnt a lot. Enjoyed seeing the tapestries and all the paintings. Gardens weren’t as beautiful as I expected for Spring. They would be better in October when all the roses are in bloom.Written 28 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert DBrooklyn, New York5,278 contributionsThe Botanic Park is in between the Adelaide Zoo and the Adelaide Botanic Garden. If you walk from one to the other, you pass through the Botanic Park. You can see many fruit bats in the trees. That is an impressive sight. (I would not make a special trip here, but it is a lovely walk between the two other attractions.)Written 9 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - magyk85Zurich, Switzerland250 contributionsUnexpected totally lovely visit to the Aussie animals.
Easily reachable by public transport (Bus 800 from CBD, then one change). Beware: the last bus back from the wildlife park leaves at 16.30!
Many different roos and wallabies, which can feed if they feel like it 🦘🦘
Dingo, wombat, echidna all in a beautiful setting and very visible right next to you.
Can recommend it to everybody! Plan plenty of time for your visit, it’s quite spread out which gives the animals lots of space to move around.Written 24 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Karen MAdelaide, Australia419 contributionsAlthough access by car has a few options, you might want to plan entry, as exiting dense traffic can be stressful. We leave Port Rd at the lights, opposite Philips Street and wind slowly right, past the cafe, to the car park.
Immediately you see the police horses which can be viewed but not fed. There's a choice of pathways, towards the lake or the cafe and we did a circle, heading to the cafe first. Unfortunately, it wasn't open, but the menu looks good and an excellent playground is nearby. We made our way along the river, down majestic stairways, watching trees with autumn leaves and a spoonbill in the water. On advice from a passer-by, we went over the small bridge to get a view from the other side and into the tunnel just for the hell of it. Back over and on to the lake, we circled it and returned to the car.
A very pretty and relaxing walk that we plan to take little relatives. Very worthwhile and totally free.Written 23 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were keen to see the historic Rotunda , from our home city Glasgow Scotland.Used for band music and speech making.
The “Saracens”, WalterMacFarlane, Iron Foundry was world class with a massive foundry site in Glasgow and a catalogue which the world could and did order from. Not an inexpensive gift from Mr Ellder.Written 1 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - magpiegirl9Adelaide, Australia2,309 contributionsThis playground has the longest slippery dip I have ever seen. It looks so scary I wouldn't go on it. The playground is close to the river so you can walk along the track and muck about in the water. You would want to wash your hands well after though.Written 23 November 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
