Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The tour started in Adelaide, with excellent driving and commentary all the way to Cape Jervis to catch the ferry, the seas were rough but we hardly felt it and it was a good crossing. We were met on Kangaroo Island by our bus driver and guide, Hamish, he was very informative, knowledgeable and fun. Our first stop was Seal Bay with an up close experience of Australian sea lions in their natural habitat, then on to Remarkable Rocks, and they certainly were remarkable! We passed Cape du Couedic lighthouse on our way to Admirals Arch and to view the long-nosed fur seal colony. Our last stop was Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park where we were able to feed and pat the kangaroos. Hamish gave us a comprehensive Kangaroo Island experience we will never forget. Then back on the ferry to Cape Jervis and the bus back to Adelaide.
It was a big day full of wonderful sights and experiences.

We had a great day with Roy who was very entertaining and informative. We managed to see all the sites before the crowds on a busy day. A very relaxing river cruise. Great views of Adelaide and its surrounds.

A wonderful experience with our incredibly knowledgeable guide Alex. We learnt so much and really enjoyed kayaking, seeing dolphins and the shipwrecks. Highly recommended

This was a trip of two halves. The first day with 47 other travellers was a lot of coach travel and the second day with 12 others was much more relaxed.
First I must praise our guide Hamish for his amazing knowledge and how he handled the problems on the first day.
With a packed itinerary what you need is everything going to plan but it didn’t - ferry arrived late, passenger took a long time in the bathroom, and road works. So we arrived at Seal Bay too late to do the guided tour. However good views of seals from the public viewing platform. Rest of the day went according to plan and night in Seafront hotel was good. Food in Kiosk good but not much choice.
Second day was brilliant with a small group and plenty of time for Hamish to stop and show us more things on the way including his home beach - Pennington bay. Best thing on the trip the Raptor show where Hamish had advised us to sit on the front row so I had a barn owl sitting on my knee.
My advice to other travellers. Don’t do the one day trip to Kangaroo Island that goes to Remarkables Rocks and Admirals Arch unless you really only have one day free. It starts at 6.30 am in Adelaide and finishes around 10 pm. If I could do it all again, and I had the time, I would opt for the 3 day Sealink guided tour.

The start of the day was not great. The first bus driver from Adelaide to ferry was super rude. Once we were on Kangaroo Island Scott our tour guide picked us up and then he was marvellous. He is soo knowledgeable about KI and his story were awesome to hear. The several stops were great however there is so much to see on Kangaroo island that we only just scraped the surface. Would have love to stay a full week.
The day was very long with over 9 hours of travel time.

A really relaxing time. Thoroughly enjoyed and detoxed from the busy world, loved sitting on the sun deck and just watching the beautiful river and scenery. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, food was fantastic, even fresh fruit bowls and biscuits to munch on throughout the day if you were peckish. Cabins small and simple with ensuite but clean and adequate. Was only in there to sleep. Some of the lounge chairs were looking a bit tired but still comfortable. Enjoyed the off shore excursions especially the sheep and BBQ and campfire, being entertained by Johnno and the very funny Bobby, who was retiring after this cruise. It was a great time to get to know more of the crew in a relaxed atmosphere. Great bar prices and Alex and JJ soon knew who had what. Met some lovely people from all over Australia. We enjoyed getting dressed up for the Captain's dinner as we don't do that very often! We will be going again.

The activities on this trip were hampered by poor, rainy weather. Despite this we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was delicious & although the servings were small they suited this couple with small appetites. We enjoyed the ambience in the dining room. One disappointment was the poor state of the armrests on all of the armchairs in the lounges - these should have been replaced & look dirty. All staff were helpful & efficient.

Can highly recommend this trip on the mighty Murray River. I thought I'd be bored, but not at all. Great on shore excursions learning about the history of the river and paddle steamers. Staff were amazing, nothing was a problem. Food was fantastic, buffet brekkies, 2 course lunches or ploughman's lunch, 3 course dinners. Alcohol at very reasonable prices with happy hour daily 20% off 5-6pm, wine/beer specials every lunch time with 20% off. Cabins a bit small but you don't spend much time in them. Great hot water showers. And of course, the spectacular scenery as you cruise along this enormous river.
