Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I enjoyed my visit to the Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA). There are many rooms with a variety of exhibits. Their major temporary exhibit was "Taranthi: Festival of Contemporary Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Arts". I liked the Coiled Pandanus Baskets from Gunbalanya, NT. As part of Taranthi, they had a major exhibit of Vincent Namatjira's works. (He is the great-grandson of Albert Namatjira, a talented Aboriginal artist.) "Australia in Colour" showed 21 portraits of famous people, including a self-portrait of the artist. He had also created several interesting and unique portraits of the royal family.

Lovely English mansion beautifully preserved with spectacular views back to Adelaide. We went on the guided tour which was conducted by a volunteer who gave us a wonderful insight to the history of the couple and their house. Morning tea was Burnt Butter baked biscuits (original recipe) discovered in the Hayward family recipe book - crisp and delicious. Apparently a new larger cafe is being built in the near future. A lot of families were also having picnics in the spacious grounds with room for children to roll and play on the grass.

I enjoyed my tour of the David Roche House in North Adelaide. You need to book the tour in advance. David Roche lived in this house from 1954 until his death in 2013. He wanted it to be accessible to the public and it was opened as a museum in 2016. You can see how he lived by looking at the opulent furnishings. The tour starts with an introductory video. Then a guide shows us the various rooms. The Russian Room features a table with a picture of Bacchus (the Greek God of wine-making) that has a 3D effect. (The design on this table is the symbol of the foundation that administers the museum.)

There was also an exhibition hall. The current exhibit is "Wedgwood: Master Potter to the Universe". You can see many products made in the Wedgwood Factory, including pieces that relate to Australia.

MOD, the Museum of Discovery, is an interactive science museum. There are several rooms on two floors, each with a different theme. One room featured living on Mars. Another room allows you to play with your image on the various monitors.

Small gallery showcasing Indigenous artwork. Nice gift shop and cafe. Gallery is quite small but nicely set out. At end of Grenfell Street.

Fabulous photos from films with good, informative captions. A few costumes from films, which are gems. The exhibits inspired us to catch up with the many films we missed. Well worth a visit.

We went to see this unique art and digital storytelling project. Each painting was accompanied by a small video screen, through which the artist was telling his/her own story.
At this time they had only a few Aboriginal handicrafts for sale. As each item had a tag of Better World Arts, I suggested to my friend to wait till we’d go to their shop in Port Adelaide, where she’d find many more gift items to choose from.
