- Rob C2 contributionsThis was a great 3 hour tour during which we explored the mangroves, saw a small pod of dolphins and kayaked around the shipwrecks. The weather was blustery but our guide, Paddy, led us along a route which minimised the effects. Paddy is very knowledgeable about the area and its flora and fauna. Dax was a great guide, orientating us, giving all sorts of interesting facts and recommendations on other things to do during our trip. We did the tour on a hot day, and Dax was considerate with stopping in the shade where possible. Not only polite with a great sense of humour his knowledge & passion for Adelaide & surrounds was brilliant (which we've taken advantage of since our tour!) He was so knowledgeable of the region, polite and couldn’t be more accomodating ! His price was fair and we had an incredible day ! Unfortunately we included the "coffee and cake" option which was redeemed at a cafe in Hahndorf (I don't remember the nanme of the cafe). We placed our coffee and cake order as soon as we arrived at the cafe. The piece of cake came out after half an hou!! We scofffed it down and left before the coffee arrived. The stop in Hahndorf was for an hour!! So we had less than half an hour to see the town, We let Deep know what happened and he apologised and paid for our drinks at the lunch stop. My advice is, if you want to spend some time exploring Hanhdorf, DO NOT opt for the "coffee and cake option" as you will spend most of the hour staring at a cafe wall. This was the cafe's fault, not Bums on Seats. We did a morning tour of the city sights with expert commentary including a stop at the wine museum.
In the afternoon we went to the hills and Hahndorf. We also stopped off at mt lofty. Chris showed us the landscape and explained what a dodge tide is. He also used a map to shown the walking team from kangaroo island to the flinders ranges.
The afternoon tea and stop at beerenberg and Hahndorf was nice.
It was clear Chris enjoyed showing people Adelaide. - Angela K8 contributionsWe managed to pack a lot into three days, we were taken to some beautiful bays and beaches, the remarkable rocks were magnificent and fun to play on, and we saw lots of cool animals seal lions, fur seals, kangaroos, koalas, dolphins and lots of cool birds. The view at the Dudley winery was just stunning! We were fed so well throughout and Eli and Elliot were really great guides, so knowledgable and always kept the group in good spirits!
