Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is an awesome tour and you get a good look at all the cool places and highlights of the island. Lots of opportunities for getting off the bus to walk, swim and explore.
Our guides Andy and Kurt were awesome and made the two day trip really enjoyable. They are great hosts, and gave us heaps of information about the history, geology, wildlife and culture.
The bus was comfortable, good food, the hotel was clean and spacious. Nice pool.
    Loved it.

Wow! Great tour. We not only saw the sights, but also experienced the beauty of simply enjoying the moment without any rush, and connecting to so diverse, but like-minded and open people! Special thanks to our amazing tour guide Gas. His good, relaxed vibes and positivity infected the whole group as he showed us the island he clearly appreciates so much himself. Thx mate, we really appreciate it!

HIGHLY DEPENDING on weather condition, the TOUR GUIDE and GROUP and temperature- we got totally lucky🍀☀️

Had an amazing day out with the team. The crew were super accommodating and lovely to talk all things whale and dolphin with. We went in off peak season so no whales for us but had a great time searching for dolphins, you had the option to swim over to k'gari island and walk along the sand as well as have a go in the boom net.

We lucked out and spotted a very playful family of Australian humpback dolphins right outside the marina on the way back to shore, even seeing them leap out of the water a few times which was amazing.

Highly recommend taking a trip with them either during whale season or simply to try and spot some dolphins was a great day!

Great day trip to see several whales and some of K'Gari. We went a little early in the season, but still got to see three or four whales playing. The tour guides were knowledgable and gave us some interesting facts. The boat was nice and the refreshments were tasty.

This was about my 4th time out with Blue Dolphin. I took my visitor - Michelle- from S.A. with me. We loved the boat, the crew, seeing the whales of course and captain Pete's friendly but professional tour guiding. They also served a wonderful chicken, cold meats and salad lunch. I shall return Blue Dolphin!

Firstly, apologies for the late review! An amazing day out on the water seeing the wildlife and enjoying some of the beaches on Fraser Islands west shore. Had mainly chosen the tour for the Humpback Whales and we were not disappointed. We were late in the season and the weather was a “bit fresh” but still saw Mothers and Calves, would definitely plan to come back another time, early in the season when the chances of closer encounters or even being able to get in the water with them are better.

Also spent some time ashore, walking the (almost) deserted beaches, canoeing in the creeks and climbing Sand Dunes (hard going but with the view from the top). Transfers to the beach are by boat but the crew kept tabs on everyone and ensured that everyone could do things at their own pace. Food and drinks served throughout, definitely a tour for the wildlife lovers with a bit of adventure thrown in!

My partner and I went on the half day tour! We weren’t expecting to see many whales however we saw so many and I couldn’t help my excited self! There was a pod of 9 whales at one point. We also saw some dolphins and a turtle. The food pack was yum and the crew was amazing at educating us on facts about the islands and the sea life. I would highly recommend doing a tour with the Salty crew!
