Fortunately for me I was put in the group that did the activities in the order I wanted, sand boarding, kayaking and snorkelling. I did not actually do the sand boarding but went along to see the scenery and it was worth it. The kayaking and snorkelling were awesome. Even though it was Boxing Day and busy around the wrecks there was enough space for everyone and the leaders made sure we were kept safe.
I would recommend you take closed shoes for the sand dunes, it was hot out there!!
My only suggestion for the tour operators is to bring extra supplies of water for the guests to the sand dunes. Every stop was breathtaking, from the panoramic views at the Best of All Lookout to the tranquil beauty of the Natural Bridge and the stunning waterfalls like Purling Brook and Rainbow Falls.
Our guide, Andy, was fantastic—fun, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared so much insight about the area, making the experience even more enriching.
The hike was well-paced, and every step was worth it for the stunning scenery we encountered. The balance of adventure and tranquility made it unforgettable.
This excursion was worth every penny, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re considering it—do it! We saw many frogs, crickets, and spiders on our way to the glow worms. The glow worms themselves were incredible. The tour was very informational and I came away having learned a lot about the Gold Coast’s history, flora, and fauna. Completely amazing! Visited Lanington Natiinal Park, O'Reillys tree top walk and then lunch and wine at the Vineyard.
We managed to see loads of wildlife, especially kangaroos!

- CharlieVictoria, Australia6 contributionsPeter was very knowledgeable and accommodating! My family had a wonderful time out there in the dark watching tropical creatures, vegetation and glow worms. My parents and auntie are in their 60s and 70s. The walk was a little slippery towards the end as it’s close to the waterfall. Peter took great care of us and slowed down for everyone to be able to enjoy and see what he found and knew about the area. Definitely worth the time and money to pay a visit of this wonderful land in the dark. Jaime was very considerate and knowledgeable. He allowed us to proceed at our pace so that we could truly take in and appreciate our surroundings. In addition to the beautiful natural surroundings on Tamborine Mountain and the rainforest, we were able to gain insights on the people and culture of Australia.
