Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We said within a block of the beach and walked there just to walk along and see beach and water. Very clean and well maintained beach and not very crowded.

We did the private tour, and had Zoe as our guide. She was amazing, and made this a really memorable experience for our daughter. We got to hold and hug a koala, feed wallabies, and get close to tons of other animals. One of the highlights for our daughter was to visit the animal rehabilitation center, and see the little babies being cared for.

The breakfast included in the tour was also good, with very healthy portion sizes.

Large variety of very good quality items from local makers. Some good food stalls. Nice vibe near the water and well spaced so you don’t feel crowded.

This is a lovely little timber church sitting in front of the water. It was a very hot day but there was a nice breeze coming from the water side. Originally built in 1880 there was a service going on so only had a quick look inside, it was a Sunday. Easy to find on the foreshore, nearby there was a big market

I ended up here accidentally but it was such a good mistake. So stunning. You can see all the way down town and all the way out to the ocean. It was beautiful

Would recommend to hire a car for this trip , stop off at port Kennedy and take a stroll along the 4 mile beach , purchase a coffee and jump back in your car and head off to your destination

A must do in Port Douglas to watch the sunset. It’s a beautiful location with palm trees fringing the water and mountains in the background. It’s great for kids too with plenty of space to run around and a playground.

Entering the courthouse you get quite a start to see a real courtroom with life sized figures representing the people who were part of the trial that took place. You sit in the original jury seats and watch a video of the trial and at the end consider your verdict. There are also interesting photos and information about the Chinese gold miners in Port Douglas, the first marine biologists at Low Isles, and also information about the Battle of the Coral Sea.

Port Douglas is about an hours drive from Cairns.
All the way you drive along mountains on one side and ocean on the other side. It reminded me of Great Ocean Drive.
The town has beautiful palm trees and their information centre has all the information about the surrounding of this World Heritage Listed place.
Accommodation can be from backpacks to luxurious Mirage Resorts.
Lots of eateries and coffee places.
    I really enjoyed this place.

Amazing customer service and willingness to help out. They went out of their way to contact us and provide updates on extreme weather and power outages. Definitely a charter company we'll book with again.

I could be delusional. Was I dreaming. I'm not sure but I don't think so. That was a couple of massages like none I've experienced before. It felt being under water being gently moved around by the energy of waves. Nearly as good as surfing but maybe not quite as good as getting barrelled.

Jane is an absolute master of the energy massage.

We arrived in Cairns in very wet weather on the tail end of a cyclone. Bev picked us up from the airport and was so friendly and helpful, getting us to our destination safe, dry, and entertained.

Our three children; 13, 10 and 3 all thoroughly enjoyed their experience riding with Star, Bucks and Bo. Mandy was fantastic catering to all three ages so that the kids could ride together, ride confidently and have fun at their own pace. Definitely one of the highlights of our Port Douglas holiday. We will be back for sure and will have a longer ride next time. Thanks Mandy!
