- Curious486584137862 contributions'Breakfast with the Birds' was a nice brekkie & the bird presentations REALLY good, BUT not as OUTSTANDING as our Private Tour with your "Becca" - she was knowledgeable, had a sense of humour & a lovely enthusiasm & fondness for both the animals & also her role - my 10-year-old Grandson hung on every word PLUS asked lots of questions - a credit to how she made our Grandson feel at ease & eager to learn more. - Sagar DUnited Kingdom623 contributionsWhat a fabulous beach! We walked from our rental apartment. The tide goes out a long way leaving a very wide sandy beach. There were so few people! We were amazed at the lack of congestion on such a glorious sunny afternoon. It’s jellyfish season so we swam in the netted area without stinger suits. The water was soo warm! Incredible. We didn’t spend too long as we were going on a sunset cruise. Beach beds and umbrellas are available for rent near the lifeguard station.

Originally built in 1880 there was a service going on so only had a quick look inside, it was a Sunday. Rome beer to bring a blanket or towel to sit on, plenty of car park near by. Unfortunately the night we went it was cloudy and saw nothing but it’s still a lovely thing to do. From booking on the phone with a friendly and helpful assistant to our affable driver Edric arriving early this morning at our Cairns hotel, in his extremely clean and comfortable large Mercedez, through to his humorous & entertaining banter and tour guide information on our drive to our resort at Port Douglas. - Marion T1 contribution2 self-guided tours over 2 days. So much fun. Great bikes - pedal power mountain bikes one day and e-mountain bikes the next. Digital map and plb included. Really helpful staff. Fabulous scenery, river crossings. Even the rain on the second day added to the fun with a lot of mud. The cars were spotless, drivers great. Definitely use them again. A few days later an Excellence coach deliberately drove very close to me while cycling. Missed by inches.
