Originally built in 1880 there was a service going on so only had a quick look inside, it was a Sunday. You sit in the original jury seats and watch a video of the trial and at the end consider your verdict. All the way you drive along mountains on one side and ocean on the other side. It reminded me of Great Ocean Drive.
The town has beautiful palm trees and their information centre has all the information about the surrounding of this World Heritage Listed place.
Accommodation can be from backpacks to luxurious Mirage Resorts.
Lots of eateries and coffee places.

Emily @ The Daintree shop information centre.
I can’t thank the lovely lady who answered my call & fitted my parents in .
My folks are humble & hardworking they have had a few massages etc over the years however both said this was the BEST EVER,
Professional they were not made to feel rushed & were treated so very special.
It was an hour massage & i added a half hour facial . At $ 590 this is on the expensive side however I was grateful my parents absolutely loved it & it was an incredible experience.

We like different pressures and both of us were extremely happy. The Spa is small but extremely clean and very comfortable. We have monthly or more massages at home. Love the vibe & the music, could spend hours looking at the posters on the wall.
Ordered a negroni, more than happy!
Went back later for a nightcap.
The actual bar itself looks like it has escaped from some very exclusive old club in Sydney.
Love to know it’s history & how it got there.

The staff are always keen for good banter and helpful tips when you’re looking for just the right thing; whether it’s for you, for your home, or for a gift. It’s my go to spot for all things that commemorate Port Douglas, especially with the option to have mugs, glasses, magnets, photo frames, and more totally personalized! We’ve purchased many things over the years due to that extra special touch. They’re quick to help, when possible, if your in a gift giving bind as well 😁
