Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We said within a block of the beach and walked there just to walk along and see beach and water. Very clean and well maintained beach and not very crowded.

Large variety of very good quality items from local makers. Some good food stalls. Nice vibe near the water and well spaced so you don’t feel crowded.

This is a lovely little timber church sitting in front of the water. It was a very hot day but there was a nice breeze coming from the water side. Originally built in 1880 there was a service going on so only had a quick look inside, it was a Sunday. Easy to find on the foreshore, nearby there was a big market

I ended up here accidentally but it was such a good mistake. So stunning. You can see all the way down town and all the way out to the ocean. It was beautiful

Great views … the reward after a climb. Best to go early as the sunrise is stunning was able to see all down the coast down 4 mile beach. A must if you are visiting the region.

Beautiful gin, beautiful tasting , great cocktails 😊 definitely recommend a visit when in Far North Queensland.
The tasting paddle is a great way to try all their gins all served with their own garnish :) 5⭐️

My daughter and I stopped in here for a quick look and made small purchases. Both of the ladies that helped us were very welcoming and friendly.

Would recommend to hire a car for this trip , stop off at port Kennedy and take a stroll along the 4 mile beach , purchase a coffee and jump back in your car and head off to your destination

A must do in Port Douglas to watch the sunset. It’s a beautiful location with palm trees fringing the water and mountains in the background. It’s great for kids too with plenty of space to run around and a playground.

This place offers visitors a chance to see some great examples of modern aboriginal art and is a kind of oasis on a street dominated by bars and beachware shops

Port Douglas is about an hours drive from Cairns.
All the way you drive along mountains on one side and ocean on the other side. It reminded me of Great Ocean Drive.
The town has beautiful palm trees and their information centre has all the information about the surrounding of this World Heritage Listed place.
Accommodation can be from backpacks to luxurious Mirage Resorts.
Lots of eateries and coffee places.
    I really enjoyed this place.

Lovely - but didn't see much wildlife. And the "waterfall" was quite small - attractive but small. Nice small beach, rocky - glad I went in. Sad little aborigine town that you pass going up the road (not allowed to enter it)

Returned to the Marina when we discovered that the market was finishing up for the day. Headed into Lure Restaurant where we enjoyed lunch and then set out to explore. Had a cursory look at the boats at the marina and then headed to browse the shops. SHOPS? Most were closed, a few souvenir/gift shops open with members from our tour group purchasing souvenirs. A number of tour operator establishments were open but, other than the restaurants the entire area was devoid of atmosphere or activity. Great views over the marina from the boardwalk.

The Port Fouglas Marina market is not a big market but it is a reasonable market if you can only appreciate those stall holders who do show up every week. Unfortunately Covid has had a big hand to play with why things have changed so dramatically. Love the Fenglehorn chilli stall but my absolute favourite is Andrea's scarves. They are affordable, beautiful, versatile and fashionable. Will definitely be back.

The setting at Hemingway’s is beautiful. Sitting in the sun looking out over the boats is super relaxing. Just what we wanted after a busy day out at the reef.

The food is yummy and fresh. The produce seemed fresh and we all enjoyed our order.

The staff are nice. However, the server who rang up our bill changed us for an adult pizza when we ordered a child’s one.
