Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a beautiful sandy beach, worthy of a visit, rain or shine. In March, with a fair amount of rain still there - more than in previous years, I was told, the wet season seems to get longer now - it is perfect for a relaxing walk. If the sea is not very rough, there is an area protected from stingers where you can swim. The beach has lots of space and amazing views. Do check it out if you are near Port Douglas.

Super chill market. Massive array of product and a wide variety of hand made products. Even though the day was warm there were people everywhere. Make it a must for next weekend

Good views over Russell township on a sunny day. My partner was delighted to see a Kiwi bird cross in front of him in the early afternoon.

Love Port Douglas, try the flagstaff walking trail, great exercise, quite steep in parts so wear walking shoes :)
I’ve done the walk every day and it’s very pretty

Port Douglas has it all .... for those wanting to do nothing or do everything the choice is yours. Just relax and enjoy without breaking the bank. The people are exceptional and the weather gorgeous .... even if it's raining.

During our travels in Australia, we visited many Aboriginal Art galleries. Ngarru was a standout for the way their pieces are displayed, the expertise of their staff, and their prices.

Nice atmosphere, good food, great beer! Ordered the custom beer paddle and a pizza. I’d go back, we had a nice time there.

Lovely - but didn't see much wildlife. And the "waterfall" was quite small - attractive but small. Nice small beach, rocky - glad I went in. Sad little aborigine town that you pass going up the road (not allowed to enter it)

Largely vacant with only a few restaurants and the Marina to visit. The brewery was doing a great trade.

Port Douglas is about an hours drive from Cairns.
All the way you drive along mountains on one side and ocean on the other side. It reminded me of Great Ocean Drive.
The town has beautiful palm trees and their information centre has all the information about the surrounding of this World Heritage Listed place.
Accommodation can be from backpacks to luxurious Mirage Resorts.
Lots of eateries and coffee places.
    I really enjoyed this place.

It’s nothing special but it is a nice little walk that generally isn’t too crowded: we went in tourist high season and still it was fairly secluded.

Beautiful venue with incredible cocktails. Perfectly balanced and always consistent. The staff are polite and knowledgeable with interesting stories and backgrounds. We're so lucky to have this place in Port Douglas, and you pay the same price for cocktails in the pubs.
The only thing I would suggest is cleaning up the bathrooms... They were so bad I almost felt unsafe.
