Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely the best day ever and worth every penny . We booked to go ( mother & daughter ) A long held dream to visit the GBR . My daughter is a diver & I wanted day to be a joint experience despite me just snorkelling .
From beginning to end it was a full day of magic with great views, a lovely boat and fantastic food. The staff were really knowledgeable and hands on in terms of interaction and helping you get the most out of your chosen swim / dive . Everything was provided and I can’t recommend highly enough . Thanks Quicksilver ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A very well organised day trip snorkelling off the Low Isles on the Great Barrier Reef. Our experienced and knowledgeable guide swam with us and was able to show us not only the many different types of coral, but explained the range of fish which we could see. Amongst the many highlights was actually swimming alongside turtles. The buffet lunch was good, but we were also given a snack on arrival and coffee, and then mid-afternoon a further snack. The guides allowed us each to go at our own pace, and for those not wanting a second snorkel we had a really informative trip across the coral Reef on a glass-bottomed boat

My husband and I and our 2 friends booked the Wave dancer trip in the uk before our trip to Australia, we were so glad we did. The day was amazing from start to finish. From the moment we boarded the catamaran we were given very thorough safety instructions and loads of information on marine life and snorkelling. When we arrived at the beautiful Low isles we were quickly shuttled across to the island and given first class equipment. The guided snorkelling trip was great and we felt very safe at all times. When we got back on the catamaran at lunchtime there was a fabulous buffet waiting for us comprising of king prawns, chicken, beef and an array of delicious salads followed by fresh fruit and later cheese and biscuits
We couldn’t have asked for more, then on the return journey we were serenaded by this lovely man with a glass of bubbly to round off an amazing day, I didn’t get any of your names but all the crew were brilliant and super friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this trip it was first class.

The Helicopter portion of this trip to the Great Barrier Reef was amazing. Mike our pilot was a fantastic guy and made it all so interesting and special for us. We were lucky. The helicopter can accommodate up to 8 passengers and there were only there of us. We all got excellent seats either up front or at a window.
Mike took the long way out to the reef and we saw some of the Daintree rain forest as well as some stunning views of the GBR on the way out. Mike landed the helicopter skilfully on the smaller landing platform near Quicksilvers large platform where all the scuba diving and swimming activities are based.
We had a great day out there at the GBR. As I’m not a swimmer we didn’t get the full benefit of everything that can be done out there. But the marine biologists and the guides and the captain of our boat back home were so helpful and kind and really wanted us all to have a fabulous experience
The helicopter trip is the best way to see and appreciate the GBR. You really don’t get the same appreciation of the spectacular colours and features of the reef from the boat trip home. So if you can do it be sure to get the helicopter out there or back as it’s such an amazing natural treasure.

TL;DR: Great for both SCUBA and Snorkel (also have "crash course SCUBA"). Three dive sites w/min down town between. Great dive guides! State of the art dive equipment. Closed heel fins. Bring your own towel. Good food w/veg option and beer for sale. Certified Advanced Eco Tourism. Would 100% book again!

I highly recommend the Poseidon Snorkel & Dive Cruise! My husband and I are SCUBA certified, but our friends are not and like to snorkel. This was the best cruise to accommodate both SCUBA and Snorkel. We did 3 dive sites at the Agincourt Ribbon Reefs which were amazing! They broke down the SCUBA groups into 3 major groups; Experienced, Novice, and "Crash Course SCUBA". I am a novice and my husband is experienced, but they put him in my group so we could be buddies. Kevin, our dive guide, was great. He knew I was a novice so he checked on me often during the first dive, then talking with him after he did less "check-in's" the remaining 2 dives, since he knew I felt comfortable. I overheard some of the training for the "crash course SCUBA" class and it was all good material to refresh myself on (since I just got certified and I learned units in imperial). This would be a good option for someone who is comfortable in the water and wants to SCUBA, but does not want a certification.

The food on board was great and offered vegetarian options. There was beer for sale which was great for the ride back. The boat is large enough to bring a small bag with towel and change of clothes, which I recommend for the ride back.

They provided Lycra suits for SCUBA and snorkel since it was "stinger" season. I brought my own mask since I felt most comfortable with it. The gear was exactly what I trained on with separate secondary regulator. They pack your BCD with an extra snorkel and inflatable signal tube. They do provide closed heel fins, so if you are between sizes on fins you should bring your own dive socks to be more comfortable.

On the ride back you can order pictures/USB they took along the way and had them ready before we left the boat. All in all a great day!

A fantastic combination of seeing the Tablelands and sampling some of the produce being grown in the area.
Some considerable effort has gone into planning this trip.
You see and sample so much ( I think it was seven seperate stops) but it doesn’t feel at all rushed.
You drive past and see so many crops and plantations you wouldn’t believe so much produce is produced in this area.
The transport was comfortable , our tour guide Chris was fantastic and we we were blessed with some lovely company throughout the day.
I noticed how carefully they catered for everyone, so don’t worry if you don’t want to taste the kangaroo or crocodile, that’s no problem.
Chris was a true professional, he couldn’t do enough for us.
I can thoroughly recommend this trip 👍

This trip on a cat was excellent from start to finish, morning coffee and biscuits, an excellent buffet lunch, cheese and biscuits and bubbles on the return journey. All the staff were friendly and helpful and knew their stuff. Lovely bit of acoustic guitar and singing on the return journey.
We were lucky with calm still weather and visibility was perfect for the snorkelling, it was an experience not to be forgotten!
