Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- EvaSandbach, UK11 contributionsDuring our visit there is a Cairns Festival which I do not check what’s the schedule, we enjoyed the Fireworks, Light Show and Parade. Enjoy a fun time for free at Esplanade Lagoon for free entertainment.Written 29 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - brennyGosford, Australia126 contributionsA great day out. Andrew was fabulous with his knowledge. Lunch was delicious. Included ice cream with a sample of all the fruit flavours. Unfortunately, due to the roadworks, we didn't do the Bloomfield Track part, which was why we chose this particular tour . However, this was out of the company's hands. The only issue we had was that the sound system on the bus was not very clear. Unless the bus was stopped, we could not understand half of what was being said, missing a lot of the information that was being given.Written 4 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Took a ride on the big wheel and took in the views.

Sadly the very poor restaurant eating experience spoiled the visit.Written 21 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ArgoRuttyShrivenham, UK78 contributionsRelatively easy to get to. Magnificent rainforest environs. Water clarity on first visit amazing, though after the rain, the waterfall cascade was awesomeWritten 14 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sue SInvercargill, New Zealand84 contributionsA unique experience. We went out to the outer reef and experienced snorkeling and the submersible. The staff were very helpful because we are seniors and neither of us had one snorkeling before. The fish life is amazing.Written 14 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Charles charlie178 contributionsGreen Island is an integral part of the total north Queensland and Great Barrier Reef experience. 45min by ferry from Cairns at a cost of ca 100au$ return, you get to spend up to 7h on the island and explore a rich and varied marine and tropical life. With various activities on offer from snorkeling, diving, swimming, and boat trips to explore the nearby reef shelves. On the island itself the main attraction is the crocodile farm with the inclusion of the world largest crocodile in captivity, yes you get to meet Cassius at whopping 5.48m long, and a ton in weight, only when you come close to such creatures, you feel the terror seeping through your body. A glass bottom boat trip into the reef is very much recommended, the one we took, where you get a chance to see colorful fish swimming in the shallow reef. All in all its a day we'll spent, and we'll worth the money should you choose to pick this trip. You won't regret it.Written 13 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- scvroseFiddletown, CA1,179 contributionsSeastar dropped us off before the island we swam in. Enjoyed watching the hundreds of birds making their nest on this slender piece of land. One of my highlights.Written 18 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- CarloHelmondHelmond, The Netherlands725 contributionsWe stayed in Millaa Millaa and had an early start to the day. Driving the waterfall circuit makes for a nice drive and includes 3 water falls (Millaa Millaa falls, Zillie falls and Ellinjaa falls). All are within easy walking distance and provide you with some great views. Early in the morning you have to place to yourself and it is very serene. There are many activities in the area, but have a look first if they are open. We called on some place that were closed during the winter season or had limited opening hours. The area is well worth your visit, unless you are just here for the highlights.Written 23 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bronte S103 contributionsThis is my second visit to Nudey Beach and I still can’t get over how beautiful this beach is. It’s like paradise. The hike is a bit difficult; you must wear good walking shoes otherwise you may slip on the rocks. But the views once you are there are worth it. My favourite view is the one from the track where you are looking through trees to the beach below; the trees framing the view are shaped like a heart- it truly is paradise. The beach is clean and a great place to snorkel, swim or just admire the views.Written 23 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EvaSandbach, UK11 contributionsMany asia food available, different kind of noodles are tasty, as a fussy picky asian, I comment the quality is really good, just its at the food court, so self served and a bit crowded at dinner that’s expected. There is a Cairns Festival during our visit, enjoy the fireworks, parade, and light show in different night before we head for dinner after play at the Esplanade Lagoon.Written 29 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FionaMary764Ireland84 contributionsNice swimming spots, and the waterfall is pretty. However, it's a long uphill walk with few views, and there are loads of big black biting flies. Also saw snakes crossing the path, so it's probably good to be noisyWritten 8 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andi Mcdowell37 contributionsI can see why the reviews are glowing. We had a couples 90 min massage and it was one of the best massages I’ve had, and at a reasonable price.Written 15 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Elspeth H45 contributionsI confess to loving stained glass windows, so this review is biased. But wow! It is worth seeing the Cathedral windows with a guide because there are all sorts of interesting bits of history associated with the creation of the windows and wonderful details that might be missed without a guide's direction.Written 19 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jen H16 contributionsLovely experience at the distillery - friendly, knowledgeable service. Enjoyed a lovely tasting paddle and cheese platter and came away with a couple of gins to enjoy.
Appreciated being able to bring our dogs in to the cellar door on leash.
The only downside was seeing animals kept in pens devoid of any stimulation or comfort behind the Distillary - apparently for the amusement of children staying at the campground. We are van travellers and would not stay for this reason- a lone goose on one barren pen was desperately keen to be on the outside with those free roaming. Children’s pleasure is not a reason for animals to lead sad, deprived lives.
The free roaming peacocks and peahens were lovely to watch walking alongside the agave plantation.Written 10 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
