Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- 14BUNAustralia331 contributionsTook the bus from Cairns to Normanton as part of the Savannahlander train trip. I did expect the bus/coach to have toilet facilities.
This trip takes 10 hours. Yes, there are toilet stops along the way, but they are not the best, or cleanest facilities one could hope for.
And what is it with the seatbelts on the bus? They are so tight on one's shoulder; no "give" in them at all. Whoever tensioned these seatbelts has never had to sit strapped in the seat for ten hours.
It is a long and exhausting ride and not one I would do again.
There is an airport at Normanton, I'd take a flight from Cairns; if there's a next time.Written 6 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LSC63Melbourne, Australia309 contributionsWe are happy to recommend Cairns Airport Shuttle. We booked easily online and received an email confirmation.
We were picked up at the airport and dropped off at our accommodation in Port Douglas. The return transfer was confirmed and communicated to us and we were picked up with plenty of time to catch our flight home.
The whole process was seamless. Exactly what you need on a holiday.Written 31 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was easy to buy a day ticket (cash only) on board the bus.
Drivers were friendly despite the large number of tourists with which they deal, some of whom needed help to know where to alight.
Buses are airconditioned, low floor and have sufficient space for backpacks and suitcases.Written 3 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Having a diisability I have to rely on the airline to give me a wheelchair. Unfortunately when we arrived in Cairns I was off loaded as far as the departure gate and then had to sit there for nearly an hour while the ground staff waited for their 'paper work. Consequently I held Ian up but Ian was relaxed and friendly when I finaly turned up.
Then on my way back I was trying to juggle my walker and suitcse into departures when Ian insisted on helping me in. Thanks Ian..Written 3 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
