Kuranda was charming and we visited the Koalas and birds and enjoyed the shops walking back to the station. - Tanya HV19 contributionsThanks Rory for a fabulous day! We took this tour from our Cruise ship and were delighted with our choice! It was such a great way to overview the area - loved our quick dip at the crystal cascades and our stroll around Palm Cove. We could have stayed longer at both of these but you were up front right from the start about our time there. We felt very spoilt, drinks a plenty and you couldn't do enough to maximise our comfort. The whole group singing Bohemian Rhapsody on our way back was such a blast. Our heartfelt thanks. Tony the driver met us at the baggage carousels and looked after everything from there in a spotless aicon and modern minibus. - Alisha P1 contributionCould not be happier! Coral coast transport was the best company to have gone through. From being picked up in new, clean vehicle, Maddelene was an amazing driver, with an incredible knowledge about cairns. Bookings were so easy and the response time was immediate, she took us to so many places, which were incredible, our favourites were port Douglas and palm cove. Will definitely come back with more of my friends her car can hold up to 7, with the availability of baby/booster seat, free of charge! A few of my friends will definitely take advantage of that. Private transfers are definitely the way to go, especially with this company. Thanks heaps maddelene! They're arrive in as little as five minutes! Really convenient and friendly drivers. - Vinodkumar P2 contributionsAfter reading the reviews on a trip advisor, we arranged a transfer with Max via email from England. Our first transfer was from Cairns Airport to our Hotel. Then the following transfer was from the hotel to Port Douglas. Finally our last pick up was from Port Douglas to Cairn Airport Max fulfilled our wish, he was a real gentleman, full of knowledge and understanding. He even stopped his car to show us beautiful coastal scenery. we were privileged to have met a such a wonderful person who has now become a part of our family. - 14BUNAustralia330 contributionsTook the bus from Cairns to Normanton as part of the Savannahlander train trip. I did expect the bus/coach to have toilet facilities.
This trip takes 10 hours. Yes, there are toilet stops along the way, but they are not the best, or cleanest facilities one could hope for.
And what is it with the seatbelts on the bus? They are so tight on one's shoulder; no "give" in them at all. Whoever tensioned these seatbelts has never had to sit strapped in the seat for ten hours.
It is a long and exhausting ride and not one I would do again.

We were picked up at the airport and dropped off at our accommodation in Port Douglas. The return transfer was confirmed and communicated to us and we were picked up with plenty of time to catch our flight home.

It was easy to buy a day ticket (cash only) on board the bus.
Drivers were friendly despite the large number of tourists with which they deal, some of whom needed help to know where to alight.
