We took a sail boat to Green Island. It rained all day and there was zero visibility. Was strange that it wasn't cancelled.

We visited here today and a gorgeous cheese platter for two. The different cheeses were all made from their own cows milk. It was scrumptious we then had a Macadamia ice cream again it was so yummy

We called in here on a guided tour. The leadlight windows were supurb. Certainly worth a visit and the guide had lots of information regarding the history of the church. If you want to go self guided, download the info from the St. Monica's website.

What a beautiful piece of history. The architecture and character of the station is well worth a visit. It's a step back in time.

There is a lot of history here regarding the early settlers of Cairns. People from all over the world. Very peaceful spot. A great history lesson for the kids.

Amazing part of Oz. Remote areas with some beautiful scenery. Bumpy corrugations, limited supplies and expensive fuel. But well worth it. Lorella Springs was amazing!

There are so manly bits of history placed around for you to stop and see.
This is an impressive anchor taken from the 1876 landing.

Loved everything. People, food, swimming, relaxing. No dressing up, just a total relaxing holiday. Very efficient service all the way.

We drove along the highway as far as the Daintree River which took about 90 minutes from Cairns without stopping. The scenery was good all the way, not just of the coastline but also inland too, once the towns had been cleared. We went to see the ferry crossing on the Daintree river, before a trip along the river. We took our time on the return journey stopping at Wonga to see some birds, Port Douglas and Palm Cove. We also stopped at any lookout points on our return, there aren't many places to stop safely so when it was ok we always stopped to take in the views and have a break. By not stopping on the way up we knew what to expect on our return and where to stop.

The Cairns Courthouse is quite big and attractive as well. I was there during the evening and I was impressed. Very attractive.

Lots of people come here to defend themselves or to accuse others. No wonder that they needed a big Courthouse.

    Worthwhile to see!

Absolutely beautiful creatures who loved their cuddles and scratches. An amazing morning! Affordable and well worth it. Spending time with these animals makes you forget about everything else while you’re with them. Stunning scenery in a peaceful location, and their story is heart warming. What a great human Lawrence is to have saved them all and now they’re all living their best life.
