Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a great trip, AJ was great !!!

A little bit annoyed because yesterday we got a message from your company about a 6:30 pickup, when in fact AJ came at 7AM (just as scheduled during previous communications and emails), not his fault!!! and as a result of that we missed breakfast.

The tour was fun and well structured.
Tremendously appreciated was the luncheon provided by Chillagoe Cockatoo Hotel and Motel which was excellent !!! ….while also being gluten free!!!!
Very grateful, thanks for a great trip !!!

Lovely morning excursion with the all female crew who are clearly passionate about educating people about their heritage. A lovely short river cruise followed by a short bus trip and then short easy track through the forest.
The tour got better and better as the guides relaxed and got to know us especially towards the end when we were making bracelets.
We loved it! This will soon become Cairns No1 tour so book early!

The scenery was amazing, we went to so many beautiful places we wouldn’t have even known about without Simon!

He and his partner went out of their way to accommodate us after only booking the afternoon before.

The food was delicious, as were the drinks, and we were never driving for too long or moving along too quickly.

We all agreed it was one of the most memorable days of our trip so far, up against the reef and a wedding!

I can highly recommend this great Tour. Man picked us up in time in a well maintained and very clean vehicle. He drives very good and safe, we feel the Day very comford.
Our first stopp was a beautiful Lake, where we had time for Tea and Scones. On the way to Heberton we had a stopp at the Rainforest to see an impressive tree.
Heberton was amazing! And the next Highlight were the Rock Wallabies. Man was very friendly and give us a lot of interessting Infos, but also time to wonder around. Thank you for the super nice Day!
Ps: i am German, so sorry for the English.

Our guide for the day Rasa was professional, kind, knowledgeable, fun and catered for our needs.
The boat trip was on a small environmentally friendly boat allowing everyone a good view of crocodiles in their natural habitat.
The fishing walk was really fun allowing us to learn about aboriginal culture while exploring the beach and mangroves.
I would highly recommend Sacred Owl tours and would book another tour with them if we get to this part of the world again!!!

My sister in law, husband and myself have just had the most sensational trip of a lifetime.

Everyday was so different but extremely interesting with beautiful scenery and great 4wd tracks.

Our accommodation along the way certainly wasn’t 5 star, ( understandable being outback Australia) but it was always clean, comfortable and safe.

Laurence our guide was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure (when he could) to show us anything extra along the journey. Often going off the beaten track to find amazing little creeks, waterfalls, wild brumbys, flowers or anything a bit different.

The food was outstanding and most of the time you got to choose what you wanted to eat and how much. Everything was so fresh and you certainly never went hungry.

I would highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to travel to the top of Australia.

Amazing, well worth the money and an experience we certainly will never forget.
    Thankyou Discovery Tours and Laurence.

We met up with Darrin from our cruise ship in Port Douglas and Cairns where he took us on 2 days of tours. We visited some amazing places. Was a great 2 days! Darrin was so knowledgeable about the areas and was a great guide, even with the Dad jokes 😃

What a fantastic day! We had a fantastic guide and driver (Bridget) who taught us so much about the area while we were driving around. We had a lovely morning walking through the rainforests learning about the foods, medicines and history of the area. We had a wonderful lunch (my partner had the crocodile and I had the vegetable stack). Followed by a very relaxed afternoon on the beach having a go with spears finding mud crabs. We then got to try the freshest crab I have ever eaten, and saw lots of local shells and items from the sea. I would strongly recommend this day tour to anyone wanting to learn more about the indigenous Australians in the cairns region, it was very much worth the money.
