We booked this trip due to the great comments left by other travelers and it did not disappoint. We were lucky to have Clinton as our tour guide. He did an outstanding job providing detailed history and description all of the places we visited.

We had done this trip before at another time of the year, it was lovely to see it in the wet season, so green and lush. A special bonus was seeing so many 2 week old baby crocodiles in the wilderness. Our driver/guide Daniel was knowledgeable and friendly which made for a great trip all round. The lunch meal options catered for all and the food was excellent. Bush, boats, walks, great views and good company made for a memorable occasion.

If like me you are someone who prefers not to spend all day getting sunburnt on a boat, this half day tour is the perfect way to get in some beach and snorkel time without having to spend a full day in the sun.
The Reef Rocket boat departed Cairns on time and we reached Green Island by 10am leaving just under 2 hours for snorkelling and sunbathing.
There’s limited coral however plenty of fish and other marine life to see! Beaches were beautiful and facilities as expected.
We were back at cairns marina by 1pm - in time for a nap before heading out for the evening.
Not a Reef experience by any means but a great day out leading by a great group of people.

It was an amazing well organized tour which I can highly recommend. Clinton was marvellous and made the tour magnificent for us despite the pouring rain. He spotted the wildlife for us and so we were lucky to see among other animals a Cassowary and a dragon lizard. The places we visited were indescribable beautiful.

I was very overwhelmed by all the choices of cruises available to choose from to explore the GBR and was recommended this tour by some locals. It was the best day had so much fun the staff were so friendly and approachable. I went with my family which also included a 2 year old toddler and they were so wonderful and accommodating to him.
We saw turtles and baby reef sharks and had a huge area to snorkel in. The semi sub was so informative and a must do. Would def go again was a great tour and had such a good experience.

This tour was fantastic! If you’re looking for an authentic rainforest experience, this is the tour for you. We really got to experience the rainforest while doing some walks and Paul knew everything about the plants, the animals, the origin of the rainforest, it was great. He showed us lots of different animals, we saw possums, forest dragons, pademelons, even a platypus and many more.
The rainforest in the Atherton Tablelands is amazing and unique and definitely worth a visit.
Paul was so passionate about everything and it made the tour even better. Thanks for an amazing time!

We flew to Cairns from Sydney to enjoy the 3 day trip outlined by Viator as a SuperSaver. Aside from the extreme heat it was super fun and a great value. The first day, the Great Barrier Reef we had to walk to the pier (5 minutes since we stayed at the Mantra Esplanade in town). The crew was thorough with instructions, we were provided stinger suits because of the jellyfish and we went to 2 areas of the reef. The sea was quite rough and I took trava calm (available for purchase on the boat) right away since I get motion sickness. Glad I did as the majority of the passengers were goners before we got to the first reef. Crew again was helpful with people being seasick. Food was provided-just okay. I didn’t like that snacks provided on the way back had people grabbing cheese and crackers and fruit with their hands to put on napkins. They should have provided serving ware and paper plates. The reef was colorful and we enjoyed the snorkeling. They have a photographer who takes photos below the water that are for sale. I bought 2 that were airdropped to my phone. A little pricey, but such cool photos!
Our train trip to Kuranda was really fun, but hot. We stopped once to stretch our legs and a photo opportunity. In kuranda we we went to the koala area (extra fee) and held a koala (extra fee). But how often do you get to do that? Well worth it. Shopping and eating took up the rest of the time in Kuranda. We took a gondola ride down with stops-beautiful views!
Cape Tribulation-we had a great guide, Mal, who took good care of us all day. We went to Featherdale Park where we got to feed kangaroos and wallabys and saw many animals! Hot sticky hike into Mossman Gorge, but so pretty! Mal pointed out all kinds of things. We took a ferry ride to a back country resort for lunch where you could opt for exotic food if you wanted. Lastly we took a river boat ride to look for saltwater crocs.
We loved all 3 days-so worth the time and expense to fly to Cairns.

Billy Tea Safaris and Down Under Cruise & Dive were absolutely amazing!! My husband and I did the 3 day reef, rainforest, and outback tour, and really feel that it helped us make the most of our time in Cairns. Skipper Mike and Deck Supervisor Kiki aboard the Evolution were great hosts, and Skipper Mike even invited us into the bridge and gave us his tips about local places to stop on our way down the coast. Our guide for the outback and rainforest days was Gav. We cannot say enough amazing things about him. Incredibly knowledgeable about all things Australia, and such a great conversationalist. Beyond the nonstop learning, he also went above and beyond SEVERAL times on our tours by showing us hidden gem spots or asking if we wanted to do a little extra excursion. My husband and I wish we could just hire him to take us down the rest of the Australian coast for the rest of our honeymoon. Thanks a million to this team!

An incredible tour led by really passionate people. If you're craving a small tour with a personal touch, you won't be disappointed. Learning how the local plants and trees are used and the history of the tribes was fascinating - sampling a variety of different fruit was a particular highlight. The tour was really informative and fun, and it means all the more that it's helping the local community.

A great tour to take at the start of your visit to Cairns. Great overview of the history of the town and many informative additional details about where to find good food! Book it for your first day and you will have a good base for a great visit.
