Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- C MAuckland Central, New Zealand831 contributionsFor me this is the best part of Brisbane. It has everything you need: galleries and museum, great views across the river, plenty of eateries, a great walk and running path all along the water and plenty of bridges that make it an easy walk back to the CBD. It has a nice and relaxed feel and it definitely a popular area at all times of day and for people of all ages. Definitely check it out.Written 9 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ian LKent, UK50 contributionsWhere else can you travel to St Lucia and Tenerife? Smooth catamaran river service with friendly staff and clear information. Caters very well for those with mobility restrictions. The night trip back up river from New Farm allowed us a view of the bioluminescent wake behind us. When we went there was a flat fare of 50c per person per journey. Extremely good value for money.Written 14 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RebeccaAuckland, New Zealand65 contributionsWe hiked up the summit trail and back down the Spotted Gum Trail but HAD to stop for breakfast at the Cafe after enjoying the view. So many options - including Vegan ones, and the food was AMAZING 😋 absolutely recommend the Summit if you in BrisbaneWritten 23 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EmmaTownsville, Australia59 contributionsGreat gardens, even in the winter when not a lot is blooming! Must do for families and those looking to get away from huge city hustle and bustle for a couple hours.Written 8 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jeff W1 contributionThe gardens are very beautiful and a pleasant walk. The staff here are really nice and very helpful! We had a very informative guided tour and overall enjoyed our afternoon here. There is a bus service directly to the facility, which makes the visit easy.Written 18 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dan LBunbury, Australia8,540 contributionsOutstanding ferry service on the Brisbane River and service the CBD, Southbank and Kangaroo Point and its free. KittyKats are catamaran type ferries with a 60-passenger capacity, very popular in the mornings and late afternoons. We had learnt from our previous visit and waited until late morning before venturing to the ferry port at Holman Street.Written 7 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul LegateUnited Kingdom21,893 contributionsThe Brisbane River is the longest river in South East Queensland and runs through the centre of Brisbane.
The river is a significant focal point of Brisbane and dominates the city, a great deal of attractions in the downtown area are contentrated around the riverfront. During our stay in Brisbane we did a number of walks using the the dedicated multi-use bikeways.
One walk was from CBD to Toowong along the Bicentennial Bikeway which runs along the river and there were some fantastic views of the Brisbane skyline and the river itself.Written 28 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not at its best when we visited - a lot of maintenance needing done and the borders past their best. That said there were lots of different areas with plenty to see and admire and a great place for walking / sitting. We are avid gardeners and enjoyed our time here. We would like to see it at other times of year. Too many cyclists / electric scooter riders going far too fast - need to be stopped as they are spoiling the ambience.Written 26 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lucinda JWellington, New Zealand1,077 contributionsGreat views especially at night pity that some windows are scratched so that hindered the view a little bit. - DAVID HFalmouth, UK603 contributionsSituated on the river there are lots of really nice bars and restaurants servicing a busy commercial district and at times can get very busy but a great spot to watch the river flow by whilst enjoying a cold beerWritten 26 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Scott BrayAdelaide, Australia1 contributionWhat a wonderful experience, the serenity of watching the sunrise perched on what must be the best vantage point in Brisbane! Jasper and the team ensured a magical experience and memories that will live on well past feet being back on the ground.
With Dawn climb ticked off I cannot wait to experience the day, the twilight, the night maybe even New Year's Eve!!! You could never tire of the views.... a must do for everyone young, old, visiting or local! Thankyou Story Bridge Adventure Climb for an amazing morning!Written 23 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It takes in some of the scenic highlights of the Brisbane River from Southbank parklands, Kangaroo point, through the city, under the Story Bridge and across to Newstead . At Newstead wharf we then made the leisurely walk along the foreshore to the Breakfast Creek Hotel for a really nice lunch in a cordoned off area for the cruise participants.
The staff on board and at the hotel were friendly, the morning tea on board the boat was very nice and commentary on Brisbane and the river was very informative; even for locals!
Capped off by great weather on the day, this was a very enjoyable experience.Written 25 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. As an American booking an appointment for my Fiancée and her Mom for Mother’s Day, the professionals at Petrichor went Above & Beyond to roll out every curtesy and Pamper and revitalize my Fiancée!
Along with the add on facial treatments and LED Light Therapy I think everything was Exemplary!
The reviews I read of Petrichor being the highest recommended Spa for rejuvenation and expertise in the latest cosmetic procedures did not disappoint. 5 Stars across the board!
Respectfully,
Derrick I.

They showed me many aspects of the city, which are difficult to find by myself. I also learned the history of Brisbane through the tour. It's wonderful that many old buildings were renovated and are still in use today while preserving the previous characteristics. Have been to the event for several times. Thank you: Tina, Tom, Robyn, Coral & Terry!Written 4 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
