Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Staff are extremely friendly and try their best to ensure you have a great day, very helpful with all questions and concerns. Pricing is not bad considering the ferry is included in your day pass. Resort facilities are ok but handy to have access to.

The wrecks are 1.7km beach walk from the equipment hire area. Kayaks can be used to get you from point to point however the current is extremely strong and so at least one way will be very hard if you are not a regular kayaker. Snorkeling from the beach to the reef is approximately 70-100 meters depending on the tide and once again can be difficult when fighting the current. There is another equipment hire company at the reef but you would still need to get there on your own.

Although advertised on the website, we did not realise until the day that despite paying your fee for the day, you are still required to put down a $50 deposit per person before using the equipment. Although I gather it will be described as a ‘bank issue’, it has been 7 days and the money has still not been returned to our account.

If I was to return to Moreton Island I would do one of the boat tours that take you to the actual wreck itself. At least that way you are guaranteed to see them up close regardless of tide conditions.

We had a fabulous time out on the beautiful boat. Greg the skipper did an amazing job, we had a little race sailing on the way to the island and a gentle sail on the way back. We had a group of 11 people and everyone of us enjoyed the trip.
    Thank you Curlew Escape!

Booking through the Trip Advisor website was uncomplicated, even the night before. The next morning, our names were already on the list at check-in at the ferry terminal. On the island, we were greeted as we got off the pier and taken to their rental location. We signed the forms. That all went pretty fast. In the Wrecks Package, you have 3 activities to choose from, but it is really difficult to get in all 3 in one day. We took the early ferry, but by the time you are there and signed up, it is 9:30. That leaves 6 hours for the activities, as you need to pick up the return ticket around 3:30 back at the pier. We did the fish feeding event right away (at 9:30), which was supposed to be an hour, but they had us back within 30 minutes. Snorkeling was due at 11:45, meaning you are ready to go out to the wrecks at 12:45. Needless to say, after that, the day is done. We ended up taking a kayak and snorkel by ourselves, not the tour, to give us more time at the wreck. That was fine, other than the fact, that the kayaks were very hard to streer in the water. But we had a great time observing the fishes. Some of them are very curious and come right up to you.
Overall, it was a fun day. I think the deal, for that price, is OK. I think you end up paying about the same had you chosen the activites separately. You do loose a lot of time between activities. We had the (bad) luck that a cruise ship had anchored near the island, so there was a LOT going on.
