Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

They say it's the journey rather than the destination, and yet with this tour, we got the best of both worlds. Hands down, the crew on the boat was outstanding. The day we went to the Koala sanctuary the weather was sunny and hot. When we boarded, all of the covered seats were taken, so we sat inside the boat. On the way back, we made sure that we were on the boat early, and we snagged covered seats on the top deck. The river cruise ship offers food, which was surprisingly delicious, considering the constraints of cooking on a pontoon boat. The Lone Pine Sanctuary was the highlight of our trip to Brisbane. We had an advance reservation to hold a koala and get a photo, however we were told the policy has now changed to requiring you to wait until the day of the trip. The photo experience sells out fast, so you must make your reservation as early as possible. It was an awe-inspiring experience to hold such a cute, unique, and endangered animal.

Itinerary was great - a really full day but was a really relaxed pace and plenty of time to take in the surroundings and wildlife.
Tour guide James was excellent - very knowledgeable and friendly, and unbelievably good at spotting wildlife!

We had a fabulous time out on the beautiful boat. Greg the skipper did an amazing job, we had a little race sailing on the way to the island and a gentle sail on the way back. We had a group of 11 people and everyone of us enjoyed the trip.
    Thank you Curlew Escape!

We started our tour from a great spot in Brisbane (Howard Smith Wharves) and arrived into Moreton Island about 90 mins later. Luckily the weather was perfect and the ocean was calm and great conditions for snorkelling the wrecks... though would definitely recommend using their wetsuits for extra warmth and buoyancey. Luke was a great guide and ensured we were all safe and together. After snorkelling we grabbed a bite to eat then had a swim off the boat. There was music playing, the atmosphere was fun and we all had a great time, arriving back at about 4.30pm. Would highly recommend this tour.

We originally had the 4pm ferry booked but for an extra $20 each, we were able to book onto the 7pm ferry which gave us extra time. We were able to do the ATV Quad tour then.
The Desert Safari is expensive but great fun! Sliding down a 70m (8 storey) dune gives you such an adrenaline rush. Plus it's a great workout walking back up. Prepare for sand going everywhere (I really mean everywhere), getting sand burn and wear sunglasses to prevent sand in the eyes.
The ATV Quad tour is more value for money. Ride around either solo or tandem on a sand adventure park.
The only struggle of the day was finding the tour desk to check into our Desert Safari. More signage needs to be put up there.

The best experience in Australia so far, every day was amazing. The whole island is absolutely beautiful and packed with wildlife, a specific highlight being Waddy Point where we sighted whales, sharks, stingrays and turtles from the cliffs. The itinerary was perfect giving you plenty of time to visit each spot properly, and enough time in the evening for a beach walk to see some amazing stars. We couldn’t of asked for a better tour guide (Jim) who was unbelievably knowledgeable about the whole island and so much fun, and put in so much effort to make sure everyone was okay and having a good time. The 3 days is so worth the money, just book it and you definitely won’t regret it.

Although the staff were lovely and the island is beautiful with lots of fun activities. No where does it indicate that you get back to Brisbane at 9:30pm!
