- CasandraTPSydney, Australia4,040 contributionsWe traveled from Teneriffe to St Lucia then back to Southbank which took around 90 mins. It is the perfect way to see the Brisbane River and all city sites the city has to give. There are different cats, some with a second floor and even one with a cover that protects you from the sun, but do remember the sun screen just in case. You are meant to tap on and off the cat, at the moment it is 50 cents but if you don’t tap twice it is $2.50 which is still a bargain. The ferry stops we went to don’t have seats near where you enter the cat so if you need to sit stay near the opening. Oh and I just loved all the different designs of all the bridges. KittyKats are catamaran type ferries with a 60-passenger capacity, very popular in the mornings and late afternoons. - wombatdavidHobart, Australia2,702 contributionsWe travelled from and to the airport twice recently as we were in Brisbane CBD in transit for 2 and 1 night stays. It is cheap if you get an online deal. Our issue was that they say it is every 15 minutes but most of the time it is every half an hour. On the way back to the airport, we had checked the timetable for a 201pm train. At Central this was not on the departure board and we were told the next train was 231pm. After checking with several staff, it turned out that the boards are old technology and faulty. The train did come... Vehicle spotless and in great condition; bottled water available and air con ice cold. Car seat fitted for our little one as requested. - obizerokenobiLos Angeles, CA193 contributionsThe City Hopper route is currently the only free ferry service along the Brisbane River, operated by the City itself, though the City operates other routes along the River that are not currently free. Central station is superbly located where you step off the train and you are practically in the city centre. - Travel514034433581 contributionI travelled with Black Bow Chauffeur today from West Brisbane to the International Airport. My driver Prem was so courteous and friendly and I enjoyed the trip. It was my sixth trip with Black Bow and I find them very reliable and very competitive in price - actually cheaper than other transport options and you can book in advance so you know that someone will be there to transport you safely. Very grateful for the caring and professional service. Great communication. Would use Airlink Transfers every time. - Edward B161 contributionsYou're not getting there in a hurry, but the seats are comfortable and the views are terrific. Not just an important link for towns along the route, but a great way to get to Charleville where almost all the attractions can be done on foot anyway. No need for a car. - Resort187512595951 contributionDuring the trip in Brisbane, we encountered the problems of using the Go card. Our go-cards were mischarged over than 20 dollars. Therefore, my companions and I contacted the customer service seeking assistance(refund). Regrettably, we spent approximately an hour attempting to resolve a transaction error. While I appreciate the agent's intention to be helpful, it was only towards the conclusion of our conversation that she mentioned the option of a third-party translator. We were not able to solve all of the issues with one call. Later on, when we sought to claim our refund in another phone call, we encountered further challenges. Specifically, one agent informed us that matters concerning travel "from the international airport to Roman Street station" fell outside your jurisdiction, directing us to another company. This information proved to be inaccurate. So we made another phone call, and this time, the agent suggested us to go to the retail store to explain the situation, and then we should be able to get the refund. Unfortunately, we failed again. Therefore, despite multiple attempts, we can only received inconsistent and incorrect information which only added to our confusion and frustration.
As tourists, we feel sad and frustrated about these matters (We didn't get any help and get our refund). Fantastic service from our driver Allan. We were on an extremely tight time schedule from our flight arriving till the start of our function. When I turned my phone back on when the plane landed I received a message from Allan advising that he knew the plane had landed early and was already waiting for us. The drive was by the quickest route and Allan had worked out the closest point to our destination to drop us off and then gave us directions to the building. Thanks to Allan’s exceptional service we arrived at our destination in plenty of time. The car was clean and comfortable and Allan was polite and knowledgeable. The driver went out of his way with customer service and helped us with our luggage from Br isbane airport to his car. He then carried our luggage to the lift in our apartment building where we live at Redcliffe. We also had had the same driver take us to the airport two weeks ago and was so impressed with his professional manner it led us to book Redair for our return trip.
