Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We drove up to the top of Mount Coot-tha last week in the middle of the work week so there was very few people there. There was one bus group that came and went very quickly. The main restaurant is closed because it was a Covid casualty or maybe a remodel, but it didn’t look like they were doing any remodeling. There is another small café that has mostly some snack food and great views overlooking the city of Brisbane. As we drove up one side of the mountain and down the other, it’s very dry and not really a lot to see I would suggest taking a drive up, just to see the views of the city perhaps maybe at Sunset.

Make sure you stop at the botanical garden on the way up to the summit. Here you could spend a couple of hours easily, and there are a lot of trails. Depending on your interest and timing, you could probably spend the majority of a day here looking at the different types of gardens and the exotic local Australian birdlife.

I did this short & easy rainforest hike up in Mt Glorious on a weekend. It’s perfect for beginners with an easy/flat track, lots of signage, boardwalks & graded paths. The walk is pretty, with lush rainforest all around you. It’s 4.3km return and you walk to Greenes Falls & back. The falls are nice but nothing special when compared to other giants in SEQ like Purling Brook & Larapinta or even smaller ones like Buderim Falls & Curtis Falls. The draw card is the beautiful walk through the fairyland-like rainforest which is well worth doing.

Atrax circuit is a gentle walking track a short distance, on the right, past Mount Nebo village, heading towards Mount Glorious. It's only about a k in length, but passes through some stunning nature. The track is well looked after, and includes a bridge over a creek, some stone steps and a pathway that winds through an old tree. Lovely.

It works quite well for those who are not up for (or up to) the 6k Morelia walking track, that includes the Mount Nebo lookout.
