Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- jerryskcKansas City, MO557 contributionsCricket is the greatest sport. Australia does cricket stadia as well as anyone and over the holidays I was privileged to be able to view a couple of BBL matches here, one of which was a thriller.
The Gabba is coming to the end of its life in the current form as there are changes afoot for the Olympics that are due here in a couple of olympiads. I will be interested to see what they do with it, if anything. However, at the moment if is still a great place to watch cricket. It is a very simple design but the view from the bowl seating is good from wherever you happen to be. There was a great atmosphere for the holiday BBL game we came to, even though the Heat got whacked.
Brisbane does transport to the Gabba very well. Buses are free and drop you pretty much next to the stadium. You may have to wander around to find your gate but the signage is very effective. At the end of the day's play, they lay on a fleet for free buses to whisk you back to the city center which is only 10 to 15 mins away by bus. Be warned that, if you leave when the stadium is emptying out at the end, there will still be a long wait despite the large number of busses provided.
Inside the stadium it is functional rather than spectacular but it works very well. The staff are very friendly and will help you to your seats which are standard for a stadium of this size - not uncomfortable but not luxurious either! There is food and drink to be had and the waits are not too long. Food is good but reasonably standard for a sporting event.
It's a nice ground, with good facilities, transport and atmosphere. Not as impressive as the MCG but then, what is? I am hoping to get back here this year for the Ashes!Written 19 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I would have thought that it was finished and polished given the grandure however it was just a normal experience. The light show outside was nice but ok.Written 28 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dylan R1 contributionWe had an absolute blast doing the Heist escape room at Fox in a Box Brisbane! From the moment we stepped into the room, Game Master Charlotte was in full character, which made the experience even more immersive and exciting. This was honestly so much fun and has to be my favorite room so far! Thank you for making it such a memorable experience – we’ll definitely be back for more!Written 3 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jane_beachKingscliff, Australia543 contributionsWe went to both The Brisbane International Tennis tournament and the ATP Tournament on Wednesday 8th January.
Travelled up on the free train service from Varsity Lakes and got the free shuttle to the tournament...very easy.
Easy venue to get around even with a baby and pram and one of us with a crutch.
Plenty of facilities and food and drink vans very accessible with a good variety of foods and drinks available.
A very enjoyable day and evening.

- LisaP4130Brisbane, Australia143 contributionsI recently performed a Wedding here. The venue for the ceremony was wonderful, not to mention the reception location. All the facilities under one roof. A bar near where the ceremony was held was a great idea. The beautiful tree near the reception at night is lit up and looks amazing.Written 7 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Scott A1 contributionMy kids love Urbane Xtreme. They love that they have a choose between the obstacles or the trampolines or dodge ball or laser tag depending on how they feel. Just amazing for all ages.Written 6 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Alicia SBrisbane, Australia103 contributionsThe Bushland Centre is very good, and the people who work there are very helpful and kind. They have beautiful bushwalks, a free native plants program for local residents and many engaging activities and resources for kids of all ages. My primary school age kids and I went for an easy and very enjoyable bushwalk after some helpful tips from the Centre and a picnic at the tables near the playground. We saw a lot of interesting wildlife and learned of many other trails nearby that we want to walk soon.
We have lived just 5 minutes away for a year and didn’t know about this hidden gem - and there is quite a bit here to explore. We will definitely be coming back!Written 27 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We loved that it was so different to other places we had been to, and had so many things to keep our boys occupied for hours.
Prior to going to The Jungle Play Adventure, we looked at the website and tried to book our ticket. I found this very confusing. Thankfully, friends had been before and were able to offer tips and hints about which tickets would be most appropriate for our kids.
Once there, the line up was out the door. Hadn't expected that, so we were a little late to our first adventure (indoor rock climbing/abseiling). There were plenty of adults available to help us get started, and to support our little person (who was only 4) to figure out what to do.
We were there for ages, so ordered a pizza for lunch, which was absolutely delicious and an economical option to feed the family.
Kids loved the jumping pillow, and the climbing gym, but didn't get as much out of the ninja course. In hindsight, I'd book the older two into a different session, than the younger one, but we didn't realise how restricted we'd be with changes, and how busy the centre would be.
I also didn't book the flying fox, and we couldn't get a spot on it. The kids almost cried with disappointment, so definitely book this one!
Overall, although this place was quite expensive, it was an exciting and different day out for our adventurous little boys, who can't wait to go back!Written 24 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
