- Irene1 contributionGraham, our tour guide knew his stuff, was very lively and friendly. He picked us up on time and dropped us at our hotel too. The wineries were rustic and the wines served were quite special. The winery staff were also very accommodating to our requests, and did it with a smile. We were attended by the winemaker/owner at one winery, and the distiller/ owner at the next stop which made the trip even more special.
Lunch was included and it was very tasty, and the portions were generous too. The tour guide was accommodating, friendly and very informative about Mount Tamborine and made the tour.

The tour guide was excellent, personable and was awesome with our daughter. The locations we went to were diverse and all had stunning views. A wine tasting in Australia is different to Europe, as here they give you a small layer of wine, while at the small vineyards in France they fill up your glass (tasting is free of charge, with the view that you will buy some or a box), its completely different and a part of their marketing/selling strategy looking a bit further than here in Australia.
The second vineyards we have visited had some nice wines and its was a nice tasting experience, where the atmosphere created was very nice. The Vermentino wine of Witches Falls was very nice and a good recommendation!
The third vineyard was comparable with the first one, a little inpersonal not creating the best vibe for a tasting. The lunch was very good though!

Our host, Nathan, was a very personable & informative wine lover.
With great expertise & personal charm he led us through a very informative, entertaining and enjoyable experience.
We tasted several GERLER wines, as well as the set that we used for the Wine Blending component, along with a very delectable charcuterie board. He knew his stuff and made the whole experience fun and accessible, especially considering we knew nothing about wine upon arrival. He facilitated the banter between me and my work colleague like a pro and made us both feel really comfortable with a perfect balance of professionalism and humour. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the evening. Lovely venue (we went to the one on Edward Street), brilliant staff, super unpretentious vibes... and I went home with a personised bottle of red! We enjoyed the food and received four very small half glasses of wine which were unremarkable. The waitress explained where the wine came from and that was the sum total of the 'wine tasting experience'. There was no tour of the premises, no chance to see the wine making process or sample any other wines. It was frankly very disappointing, apart from the food which was amazing. The restaurant was also very loud and it was difficult to have any kind of conversation. Such a pity.
