Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Ronald LDenver, CO3,147 contributionsWe walked up and back in the mall area before boarding bus #6 to the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory. The bus ride and the museum were both free. The museum did not open until 10 am. It featured the 2024 National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art Awards for submissions by dozens of participants. The museum also featured animals, birds, fishes, reptiles and insects from the area as well as fossils. The Cyclone Tracy exhibition is being remodeled and will reopen on Dec 7, 2024. Very interesting and informative. Bus 6 does not stop here very often so you may be better walking a short distance to where you can board the more frequent #4 bus for the trip back to town.Written 25 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Anne SLeeds, UK619 contributionsCame here as part of an excursion from our cruise ship. We only had an hour here which wasn't really enough time to see everything. The outside areas are not well-maintained but there are lots of interesting things to look at, such as WWII harbour barrage and the intact coastal defence gun emplacement. Well worth a visit if you're interested in WWII.Written 6 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jack198612Bradford, UK57 contributionsHaving seen this gallery mentioned on Facebook I felt had to come and see for myself
Every piece of work I wanted
Better yet it feels relaxed and no pressure to buy.
Loved the fact that artists paint both on and off site and come and go to suit themselves
It added authenticity to me to see the artists at work and I was also lucky enough to see an artist bring a piece of work in.
If you’re in Darwin it’s easy to find and close to the city centre.
Travelling on a budget, the prices were better than expected.Written 13 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
