Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing morning, with the informative bus driver. The captain of the boat also a wealth of information and some fantastic moments with the crocodiles on the river. Definitely a trip to do

Flew into Darwin in the wee small hours but wanted a taste of the city the next day - this tour was perfect. Door to door pickup and drop off, super friendly and knowledgeable tour guide, they confirmed the day before, we felt like we’d seen a dozen sides of Darwin by the afternoon. Plenty of sights and culture - not too little and not too much! Great value for money. Highly recommended.

Our tour guide Dani was very experienced and knowledgeable. She was really keen to answer any questions and helpful. She played the best music on the bus. The driver on the croc boat was a knowledgeable and entertaining character.

This had to be the best tour ever. Evan, hysterically funny, was the most knowledgeable, and interesting tour guide. From the moment we stepped onto the bus to drop off later he kept our small group totally enthralled by his commentary. Corroboree Billabong was the most beautiful place with an abundance of life; birds, fish, crocodiles. Evan even found one in the water approaching Fogg dam. A freshie and how he spotted it was incredible. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody, and if every guide was similar to Evan you will all have the best time.

The hop on hop off bus is always a good choice to get around and see the sights of a city and this was no different in Darwin. We always do one full loop to see what we want and then on the second loop we get off. We chose the markets (wouldn't bother with them again), the Bombing of Darwin/RFDS and the Oil Tunnels, both of which were excellent.

the best way to spend time in darwin is to get out of darwin. the national parks around darwin are incredible and getting to spend two days in kakadu and one day in litchfield
is incredible. our tour guide eliot was incredibly kind, relaxed, prepared, friendly, patient, and helpful. he really helped us have a great experience in all of our locations and allowed us to see some wonderful parts of these parks. i booked this tour on a whim and i’m glad i did. it is well worth the money and is definitely recommend to anyone with at least 4 days in the darwin area. not too physically depending at all.

We had a lovely day, it is a long day , starting out early and getting back late in the afternoon, the waterfalls were great and the swimming areas were good, to have a swim and cool down. Our Tour guide was really good, and had lots of information to share. Make sure you take your lunch and snacks or buy it at the first stop, as there is not a place close to the waterfalls to buy any food. The Bluey Rockhole is not as safe to swim at , compared to Florence Falls and the Wangi Waterfalls, the last one is the best one to swim at. Beware it is a long walk down to the Florence Waterfalls, if you have trouble walking , this may not be for you. We did not go on the crocodile tour, we went to Fogg Dam, where we can see some crocodiles from a distance . The termite mounds were interesting to see, and it is amazing how the termites build these mounds.

An amazing trip. Our tour guide Tony was extremely knowledgeable and only too willing to answer any questions we threw at him. We got very up close and personal with a number of Crocs. We also got to see some wonderful birdlife. The Whistling Kites were beautiful to watch. Definitely a must do cruise.

    Great day trip!!!

I have been in Darwin over a year working, brought my teenage kids and wife over to visit. We rated the day by these factors.
Authenticity, value, and against what was promised vs other operators.

Value - in comparison, a jet boat ride for 30 mins cost 4 x more than this whole day trip.. great value for money and the fact we got to eat a great bbq breky, catch fish, and float down an untouched waterway was magic ( thanks Jake, this dude was steering the boat cooking breky, fishing and entertaining us for the first 1.30hrs..

We drove out, just follow google maps !! Easy drive.

Arrived 15 minutes before it started , met by friendly local staff, jump on the bus and drive 5 minutes down the track & get off near the jetty where a huge crocs sitting there ( Otis)..

Split the visitors up into 2 groups.
1 x on big fishing boat
    1 x on the V8 hovercraft

    Fed the huge crocs.

    Back to camp

Beers, coffees, rest on the big deck or swim in the pool.
They finish the day by rotating everyone on the helicopter scenic flight.

Duration ( it says half a day tour but we drove from Darwin city 6.30am and got back around 3pm)

    It exceeded everything above.
Authentic Top End local operators with real knowledge of the fauna, crocs, birds.

You won’t find a better experience than this in the top end.

    It was awesome.

we did Kadua. , Litchfield Katerine gorge all brilliant , but as other people have mentioned they are very long tours , we did one per day ( BIG MISTAKE ) 6AM start at hotel 8/9 PM return , to early for hotel breakfast , couple of pee breaks on the trip up , maybe a muffin not long enough for 20/30 people to order a coffee, these locations are nowhere near Darwin and you will spend 70/80 % of that time on the coach , with a couple of swimming holes ( they were beautiful ) but by the time you walked down the track , got your swimmers on , one place had no facilities so we got changed out in the open on a rock , then get through the crowd jump in , its time to go , so be prepared with swimmers on already , the commentary along the way was informative , but a tad boring , as there is literally nothing to see along the way ,( flat burnt out vegetation , a few birds and the odd wallaby ( not roos ) so the driver does a good job of commentary about almost nothing , until you arrive at the highlights that are worth the long drive , Now here the kicker people if you do the three locations ,DONT do them separately (14 hour tours each trip) because there is only one highway up there , we saw the same stuff, same commentary, different drivers same blurb , we met a few that took all three but stayed in hotels up there (as they are all in the same region) cost is much the same but you actually can spend more time at the venues without rushing and no coach time , coming back into Darwin at 9 PM is pretty dodgy and nowhere to eat other than a dodgy Maccas. You will thank me if you take the advice they are great locations , long tedious drives
