This tour was literally one of the best tours I’ve ever done! It took place in January 2025 which made me a bit scared on forehand due to the hot weather. However, it could not have been better! Tourguide Adam had so much knowledge (especially about wildlife, nature and Aboriginals) and made sure we kept cool and hydrated during the trip. Besides that: almost no other tourists! The campgrounds were very remote (but good!) and therefore special. The stars we could see at night… my goodness! This tour covered a lot of km which made you experience Australia in the best and most authentic way possible: what a wide, beautiful and majestic country! I saw everything I wanted and more. All in all: perfect and a 100% recommendation!

This Tour was awesome. We had such a lovely time in the outback. Our guide was Sophie and she did an awesome job. She was a walking lexicon and was smiling all the time. The food and the accommodation were perfect. The tour was very well organised and we had a lot of fun :)

I t was good to go there with a driver who knew plenty to make it interesting.
    The locations were superb.
I enjoyed it. Not having to drive and locate the places was wonderful

Our guide Victor was awesome. Really knowledgeable. The vehicle was comfy, we had snacks loads water.
Re the actual places we visited- really awesome trip. Got to swim at Ellery and Ormison which was spectacular. Simpsons gap no swimming but gee amazing also. The info that Victor provided was great. It’s probably best for older kids. We did the desert park and as an Aussie I thought it would be naff, but it was really informative and I enjoyed it. Some travellers didn’t realise they could swim so probably needs to be clearer. I really appreciated the well organised tour, the guide and spectacular scenery. What a beautiful country we have.

The leaders were very knowledgeable and informative but in a fun way! We saw many native mammals on our walk which was just so delightful. I was enthralled.

My only concern was that I couldn’t hear our leader as I was towards the back of the group, so I missed a lot of information. My suggestion would either be headsets linked to the leader or much smaller groups - limited to 6 maybe.

After our original tour was cancelled (or to be precise we were kicked off our tour with a bigger company so they could give our spots to the high paying Ghan passengers) (I know this because we followed them around most of the day)
I stumbled across this tour - and so glad I did.
From the first email I wrote, to being returned to our accommodation Mahesh was the perfect host. His knowledge of the local area and his humour made for a very enjoyable day. We had a bonus being the only people on this tour on our chosen day.
The itinerary was perfect with a couple of extras added. Not once were we rushed and had plenty of time at each stop.
Morning tea and Lunch were delicious, and Mahesh even cooked up some Sri Lankan dishes to sample. I can guarantee you won't go hungry or thirsty.
My recommendation is go with the smaller tour and Mahesh is your man.
You won't be disappointed. We enjoyed his company so much we organised for him to transfer us to the airport the following day. (He even took a quick stop on the way as we wanted a photo in front of the iconic Welcome to Alice Springs sign).
Thank you Mahesh our day spent with you was definitely a highlight of our holiday.

We had the most incredible experience on the West MacDonnell Ranges Half Day Tour with Alice Holiday Tours! My husband, his parents, and I were all blown away by the stunning landscapes, fascinating history, and the warm, personal touch that Mahesh, our guide, brought to the day.

From the moment Mahesh picked us up at our hotel, he made us feel like VIPs. His knowledge of the Red Centre & its history is really impressive, and his passion for the outback is contagious. We loved every stop on the tour, from the panoramic views at Anzac Hill to the serene beauty of Simpsons Gap. Mahesh's storytelling added so much richness to our experience, and he was always there with a smile, offering to take photos, sharing insights, and making sure we were all comfortable, hydrated, & well fed!

The small group size made it feel intimate and personal, and our little tour group gang became the best of mates in only a few hours.

If you're tossing up between tour companies, stop here. I can't recommend Alice Holiday Tours enough. Mahesh truly goes above and beyond to make the day special, and you'll walk away with memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Mahesh, for an unforgettable day!

What an experience! Love the small group; beautiful and diverse scenery; challenging hikes with plenty of time to relax; and conscientious, knowledgeable and fun guides. Jim and Silvia were awesome. Passionate about the land and culture; group’s safety paramount; organized and efficient (in a good way); they are both compassionate and supportive with a great sense of humor. Jim and Silvia made an experience of a lifetime truly special. Thank you! Susan, WI/USA

I did the two day Uluáąźu tour and it was the best decision ever!!! I got to see all the beautiful spots and Shearna was wonderful explaining the significance of each sites. Very knowledgeable and were able to answer all the questions that I had. She made us feel welcome and her energy was great! I feel like I was able to connect and understand the culture. So glad I booked this 4-days tour. Ben, our guide, did not only take us to hike around the famous Uluru. We also discovered places of unique beauty I was not even aware of: from the magic of the Kata Tjuta mountains to breathtaking views at Kings Canon. We had the best tour guide, and truly amazing campsites. The perfect way to explore the Red Centre!

We had such a fantastic time on this tour of Mt Conner and the Curtain Spring cattle station. We only had four people on our tour and Max our guide was fantastic. His enthusiasm for the culture, wildlife, and scenery really showed his passion for the landscape and culture in the area. If you want something off the beaten path and different from the tours in Uluru take this one! It was amazing!
