Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was a good trip just a long day. It was interesting to see the outback. The tour/driver had good information. The tour guide around Ayers Rick was good but sometimes hard to understand because if his accent

Our guide Victor was awesome. Really knowledgeable. The vehicle was comfy, we had snacks loads water.
Re the actual places we visited- really awesome trip. Got to swim at Ellery and Ormison which was spectacular. Simpsons gap no swimming but gee amazing also. The info that Victor provided was great. It’s probably best for older kids. We did the desert park and as an Aussie I thought it would be naff, but it was really informative and I enjoyed it. Some travellers didn’t realise they could swim so probably needs to be clearer. I really appreciated the well organised tour, the guide and spectacular scenery. What a beautiful country we have.

We enjoyed our day in the West MacDonnell ranges. It afforded us a flavour of Central Australia. The stops were frequent and varied, and Sebastian did a good job of talking us through the history, culture and geography of the region.

We had a very nice experience and our tour guide Jim (Gemma) was really great and enthusiastic 😃.
She took care of everything and told a lot about the history and fauna👍
We had beautifull walks and our group was also very nice.
The only negative remark is that the foam mattresses at the camp grounds need to be replaced because some of them were really bad 😫
So our rating of excellent is for Jim and the walks 👍
    Greetings Bianca and Marlie

An excellent, well balanced tour to see the sights of Alice Springs in an afternoon. Mahesh, our guide, took us to visit the Arts Centre, Flying Doctors and the Telegraph Post. Followed by both Jessie and Emily Gap's, where we stopped for a cuppa and cake! We concluded our tour at the Anzac Memorial, at sunset - perfect! Mahesh was knowledgeable and informative throughout the tour, and with just 9 of us on the tour (I think there is probably enough room for 11 people), it was easy to hear and ask questions along the way - I would definitely recommend this tour as a great way to see, as well as get, an overall view of Alice Springs.

A great 4 1/2 hr tour. Its expensive to get to the locations on the itinerary by taxi. So coupled with excellent commentary and an hour at each venue this tour was good value for money.

We had the most incredible experience on the West MacDonnell Ranges Half Day Tour with Alice Holiday Tours! My husband, his parents, and I were all blown away by the stunning landscapes, fascinating history, and the warm, personal touch that Mahesh, our guide, brought to the day.

From the moment Mahesh picked us up at our hotel, he made us feel like VIPs. His knowledge of the Red Centre & its history is really impressive, and his passion for the outback is contagious. We loved every stop on the tour, from the panoramic views at Anzac Hill to the serene beauty of Simpsons Gap. Mahesh's storytelling added so much richness to our experience, and he was always there with a smile, offering to take photos, sharing insights, and making sure we were all comfortable, hydrated, & well fed!

The small group size made it feel intimate and personal, and our little tour group gang became the best of mates in only a few hours.

If you're tossing up between tour companies, stop here. I can't recommend Alice Holiday Tours enough. Mahesh truly goes above and beyond to make the day special, and you'll walk away with memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Mahesh, for an unforgettable day!

Since I was 12 years old I wanted to go to Australia so that I could visit the Red Center. When my husband and I started looking at the possible activities we could do there, we decided we wanted to visit Uluru and Alice Springs. We thought about renting a car to drive from one place to the other, but all the blogs recommended not to do so unless we knew the area pretty well because if something happened to us, it could be a long time before we got any help.
Thank God we found this tour! We did the 4 day and it was so worthwhile! Not only because of the landscapes, the hikes and the swims in the waterholes, but also because of the people we met on the tour, and the whole camping vibe.
It had been several years since the last time I had slept outdoors, and even though at the beginning I was a little bit scared because of the snakes, it was just a marvelous experience. The swag was very comfortable (even though they were a little bit dirty because they were filled with dirt) and going to sleep while looking at the sky full of stars was magical.
Making our food in the campfire was also a great plus! And I was very impressed with the food we had each day! We got different dishes and they were very complete meals!
Additionally, the bus was very comfortable, and the tour guide was such a character!
I would have liked to receive more information about the different places, but I understand that the Aborigines don't share much of their knowledge and information so it could be that there wasn't much more to give.
It is a lot of money, but the tour is very much worth it!

An absolutely breathtaking tour I would recommend to everyone!
Shearna, our tour guide, did an absolutely amazing job and you could really tell she cares deeply for the area, the culture and the aboriginal people living here. I'll be telling stories of this tour and things I learned of for a long time.

Great short tour if you want highlights of the stunning West Macs and a general intro to the Alice Springs area. Our guide Ruben was very knowledgeable and generous with his insights into the land, wildlife, culture and life in Alice Springs. The scenery is beautiful and there's enough time to wander around each site (all very easy for any fitness level). Then still enough time left in the day to explore the town - or do the guided town tour if you want.

After our original tour was cancelled (or to be precise we were kicked off our tour with a bigger company so they could give our spots to the high paying Ghan passengers) (I know this because we followed them around most of the day)
I stumbled across this tour - and so glad I did.
From the first email I wrote, to being returned to our accommodation Mahesh was the perfect host. His knowledge of the local area and his humour made for a very enjoyable day. We had a bonus being the only people on this tour on our chosen day.
The itinerary was perfect with a couple of extras added. Not once were we rushed and had plenty of time at each stop.
Morning tea and Lunch were delicious, and Mahesh even cooked up some Sri Lankan dishes to sample. I can guarantee you won't go hungry or thirsty.
My recommendation is go with the smaller tour and Mahesh is your man.
You won't be disappointed. We enjoyed his company so much we organised for him to transfer us to the airport the following day. (He even took a quick stop on the way as we wanted a photo in front of the iconic Welcome to Alice Springs sign).
Thank you Mahesh our day spent with you was definitely a highlight of our holiday.

I did the two day Uluṟu tour and it was the best decision ever!!! I got to see all the beautiful spots and Shearna was wonderful explaining the significance of each sites. Very knowledgeable and were able to answer all the questions that I had. She made us feel welcome and her energy was great! I feel like I was able to connect and understand the culture. I would definitely recommend and would go again!

A great way to see the East MacDonnell Ranges sights if you don't have access to a vehicle. The sites visited are not included on other tours which was the reason we chose this tour. We enjoyed all the walks and locations we visited.
Mahesh was very knowledgeable and put out an excellent morning tea for us. Very pleased he ran the tour for us as we were the only ones booked in that morning.
