- Maria G3 contributionsCould not ask for a better experience. Our climb leader Adelina was knowledgeble, fun and took amazing photos. Would reccomend this adventure to everyone. The twilight climb was a perfect blend of day and night scenes of Sydney's landmarks, not to mention the sunset. - renbodyEast Lansing215 contributionsThe James Craig is a restored barque run by volunteers that sails roughly once a month. We had a beautiful day. We motored to the harbor entrance and set sails for a couple hours of sailing. The volunteers man the spars while the paying customers haul the lines on deck (you don't have to do it, but doing so improves the experience). Volunteers provide a lot of background and information about the boat and life aboard it. For us the wind allowed us to sail to the bridge on return. Sailing through the harbor on a sunny day was a wonderful way to see the harbor. Winds were light so it was a gentle sail. The volunteers were obviously having fun -- if I lived nearby, I would definitely volunteer. A few of us were given a chance to go out on the bowsprit when underway. - Nicole GSydney, Australia23 contributionsMy husband and I attended for our anniversary and had never been to anything like this! Firstly, I loved it. It was funny, exciting and absolutely entertaining. So much variety and it was just the best time. My only problems are not related to the show itself as that was fantastic. The only issues for us were: when you have never been it isn’t made clear where to go (we went up and down the stairs many times trying to work out where we should go), there is no spot to line up except on the stairs and the doors don’t open until 6. We only knew what to do after asking someone. Not a big deal, but could be improved. Only other issue was we were seated at a table at the bar on stools with no backs while most of the venue had proper chairs with backs. My husband is still complaining of a sore back as it wasn’t particularly comfortable. Also being right next to the bar (literally) was very noisy, glasses being rattled and shaken constantly. I’m honestly not sure if you are supposed to pay VIP to get a seat with a back but for the price I’d expect to have atleast a proper seat not a stool. I would have liked to know this beforehand if the case but I’m not sure if we just got unlucky with the seating situation. From start to finish this was one of the most memorable experiences I have ever done. The skipper was excellent very knowledgeable and we felt totally safe under his captaincy. The boat was roomy and comfortable. We headed out of Sydney harbour and the views were impressive. Once out in the seas it was thrilling waiting to see the incredible Humpbacks and boy did we see them absolutely amazing site to see them breach high up in the air and splash down so close to us. We got some fabulous photos of the trip. I would highly recommend this company. - Happy MamaMortlake, Australia1 contributionWe did the Vivid cruise last night and had a fantastic time on your vessel. It wasn’t too big or too small … it was just right! We had a large group of 14 for our daughters 18th birthday and your onboard staff were very accommodating. Your communication was fast and efficient when we had to change any details. Even though the cruise was understandably quite full being Vivid, there were plenty of tables to sit down at. Luca the cruise Captain did a great job taking us close by and slowly under the Harbour Bridge, past the Opera House, Botanical Gardens and around the Harbour. There were great photo opportunities and the top deck of your boat was great to walk around and view the Harbour 360 degrees uninhibited. The food - there was a good choice of freshly made salads, saffron rice, ratatouille, Moroccan chicken, beef sausages, roasted potatoes and it was all very tasty and plentiful. The staff directed each table one at a time which assured nobody was rushing or pushing. It was well controlled and the food was plentiful. Your bar was small but actually had a good choice of drinks. Our youngest was quite seasick and your staff were kind and caring with helping and making sure she was comfortable.
