Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Rocks are a great place for everyone - those interested in history, pub lovers, shoppers and walkers. It's an old part of the city and the first in which I've felt like I can u destiny the past of the city a bit better. Definitely worth a visit.

Graham has unusual but extremely interesting artwork. We were drawn immediately into his gallery as we happened to walk past. Graham was very helpful and friendly.

A cool market offering good quality clothes, gifts, food and anything in between from local makers. I would love to have a chance to stroll around and browse a bit more but some spots arre too crowded for my liking.

Beautiful and mesmerizing lighting shows across the waterfront of Sydney. Best is the Sydney Opera House with different lightings. Rather cold weather since this is always happening during winter but worth it. Come early at 6.30PM to witness all the Vivid colors.

This was an awesome experience. My husband was nervous but Ian (our wonderful guide) put him at ease and he happily completed the walk/climb without issue. The safety precautions in place and the time taken to ensure that everyone understood what was happening made all of the difference.
The views!! WOW!!!! We were lucky as it was a clear day. We could see to the Blue Mountains to the West and the sea line out East. It was an experience like no other.
We were also with a 17 year old - who loved the experience as well. Whilst we are all fit, it was not overly difficult to navigate this climb. I would strongly recommend this activity.

Went as an afterthought as it was raining, but enjoyed the space. For someone like me who isn’t too arty, an hour is enough to wander around. Went up to the cafe but it was closing, but seemed a nice space with great views.

This is the oldest Catholic Church in Sydney, having stood in its current location for close to 180 years, being first opened in 1844. During weekdays alone, there are four services a day, with more on Saturdays and Sundays.

We paid a brief visit to the Sydney Visitor Centre, in the heart of The Rocks area. We were not particularly looking for any information, but rather went in just to have a look. There is lots of information around and the staff seemed quite friendly as we observed from a distance. Next time we need help about Sydney sightseeing we will know where to turn to.

The Nurses' Walk was created in 1979 in remembrance of nurses that worked in the local hospitals during the first thirty years of settlement. Good information panels and artworks, but the attraction of the area now centres on the myriad galleries, cafes, etc. Definitely worth visiting when in Sydney, a sense of history pervades the area.

Cute little park. Stopped by for some photos while on a looping path from The Rocks back to the Circular Quay area. The bridge and surrounds make it feel a little bit like NYC or a Spiderman movie at times lol. Great place for photos.

Cadman’s Cottage is the oldest residential building in Sydney and was named after John Cadman. It was built as a residence for the coxswain and crew of the Governor's boats. .He was the government’s coxswain from 1827 util 1845. His position was abolished when he retired because the convict transportation was done, Cadman was a convict, and he married a convict who had two daughters. Cadman received a pardon in 1821. When he retired, the cottage was used as a police station, and a sailor’s home. Average rating because it was not open for a tour.

If you’re into opals this is the place to go. Located in the Rocks opposite the cruise terminal. Visisted on our 3 past visits to Sydney and purchased on line during Covid which went well. Lucky enough to be in Sydney in February 24 so expect we will be paying a visit. Lovely staff and no pressure.
