Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well worth a visit if you're in Sydney. The iss fascinating mix of cultures and a wide range of shops and restaurants. For a slice of history, wander over for a look at the old Camperdown cemetery.

Saw several bands here over the years in the theatres old guise and have been once after the revamp.

The theatre has been a staple for decades - many Sydney residents will recall having seen bands here down the years. The place is on a main road and there are a mass of eateries nearby for pre or after show food and drink options. If you are coming by public transport then there is a train station not far away.

The place itself looks a lot classier than the fairly dated situation previously. It's a lot brighter the sound seemed OK on my one post-refurb visit. Finding your seat is easy and even at the back I had an OK view.

This mural is further up King Street than TripAdvisor currently shows. It is on the side of a building on the Northside of the street, directly north of Newtown train station. The mural itself is substantial in size and covers the entire side of the building.

We visited the Paddington shop, really interesting quirky Antique/collectable shop, everything was pretty pricey, parking available on Oxford street, some paid some 2 hour free

Fascinating 19th century graveyard. It is the resting place for many notable figures from the past including the explorer Sir Thomas Mitchell. It also contains the remains of the sailors from the ill fated Dunbar.
Certainly needs some restoration before more of the grave stones become illegible. It is allegedly haunted by Hannah Watson who leaves her tomb at night to visit the nearby grave of her lover Captain Staines who died on the Dunbar.
Entry is free but it is closed on Saturdays and after 5 at night. (I would not like to visit at night anyway !)

New Theatre is a wonderful small theatre putting on plays ranging from classics to new works. It's a great place to see and support up and coming and experienced actors lead by equally up and coming & experienced directors and creatives. There are so few venues of this size left in Sydney and it is important they continue. Independent and professional.

Fascinating slice of colonial history in the heart of The Rocks/
The remains of several old houses provide an insight into how difficult life must have been at that tome. The tiny houses give testimony to how families libed in early 19th Century Sydney. Remember that the average couple had between 4 and 10 children.
    Worth a visit.

I had an Ayurvedic massage with Trish. It was absolutely amazing. I felt so balanced and alive afterwards.

The atmosphere of the shop and treatment areas is very quiet and zen. Loved this experience I will be back !

Great fun night out eating, drinking and watching the “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” drag acts! Food was basic (chicken burger) but good, service nice but table dirty and sticky, they need to improve standards a bit. Drag “show” was quite minimal so don’t build up your expectations that there is a long show, there were just 3 blasts of entertainment at 8, 9 and 10pm. The performers were ok but not outstanding, however the atmosphere was frivolous, fun, and we had a great night. Their choice of outfits was brilliant, iconic images from the film. Definitely worth going if you are a Priscilla fan.

This place was really neat and wonderful, we have a habit to find small galleries or workshops for the local artists. This was not that hidden, it was right on the King Street. It was evening time I think it was right before the closing time on Thursday. We admired and loved the pieces Kerrie had created. Very unique and excellent pieces. Only regret, we could not buy all of them. But, we had taken time to absorb the creation and talk with Kerrie. Loved her art and appreciate it. Thanks Kerrie, please keep up the good work. Kudos.

A group of us went here to watch a movie. The staff were proficient and friendly. The cinema was clean and tidy. The only issue was the woman in front of us who snored through the whole movie.

Blue Dog Posters is located on the north side of King Street, north of Newtown Train Station. If you a looking for prints of all sorts, from t-shirts, posters, patches, stickers, drinks coasters and more, this is well worth a visit. The topics cover a vast array as well.
