Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a charming abet small market. I thought it would be a lot bigger. Easy to get to on the bus. A variety of booths from clothing to jewelry, to fruits and vegetables and a small but vibrant group of stalls with food to eat. I just thought it would be bigger. I did find a booth with knit clothing and ended up buying two knit dresses and a top and slacks. It was called Matea. The salesperson/designer was delightful and I have already worn two of the pieces. There is an online shop too.

The SCG is iconic, and seeing a match there was a dream come true. The energy in the stadium was next-level, and the game was an absolute thriller. FanToPark made sure everything was taken care of, from tickets to travel. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience

Located in the inner Sydney suburb of Paddington accessible from Oxford street or Oatley street. A decommissioned reservoir early source of water supply for Sydney. Repurposed for park and garden.
Popular location for wedding photos. Accessible by public transportation. Hidden gem for visitors.

I did the tour today with the Corps of Guides at Victoria Barracks. An informative tour around the grounds and pointed out some historical parts not often seen. There are guns on display from the earliest dates of settlement after the First Fleet arrived. The well is an interesting part of the history, with the depth at roughly 60 feet. There are not many military establishments that have heritage listed graffiti.
As previous posts have mentioned, tours are available, generally on a Thursday or a weekend. There are just some hoops to jump through.

Now part of the Woollahra Council, the old Paddington Town Hall is a library. It was built between 1890 and 1891 and is a good example of Victoria architecture. The clock tower arrived in 1905, It has a distinctive presence on Oxford Street and worth a look even if you are not considering reading a book .

Most people will visit the grounds of this heritage-listed church on Saturdays when it hosts the Paddington Market. The market has been something of an institution here since 1973.
Markets aside, the church is one of several well-preserved historic buildings along Oxford Street, Paddington.
Nearby you’ll also find the Paddington Town Hall (1891), Victoria Barracks (1841 – 1848), Paddington General Post Office (1885) and the Reservoir Gardens (1866), all of which can be seen within a 10 minute walk.
The Uniting Church was opened in 1877, replacing an earlier, smaller, weatherboard church. Built of finely dressed ashlar sandstone, with a slate roof, it was designed by Thomas Rowe in the Victorian Romanesque style.
Rowe, started off as a gold-miner but found real success as an architect, becoming was one of the most successful architects in 19th century Sydney. He left his mark in grand buildings all over the city including the Great Synagogue, Prince of Wales Hospital, Newington College and Sydney Hospital.

Situated on Oxford Street and relatively close enough to the sports stadium it is a good pub to meet before or after a game. There is a small brewery out the back and has a lively feel about it.

Very old school, has not been modernized with fancy seats. The main theater, number one, is big enough to have good sound. They show good films here.

There is NO other shoe boutique in Sydney like this store! My favourite are the Chie Mihara's - very retro but the craftsmanship is outstanding. I've bought 3 pairs from this lovely store. And forget snobby sale assistants; this is a husband and wife team who are just so lovely.
love love love this amazing shop!!!
