Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

    Situated in the back streets of Surry Hills, this venue hosts some amazing local theatre. Go online and check out the program, you can find reasonably priced plays with very talented actors. Arrive early and get something to drink and eat at a good price.

    We went to Surrey Hills to have brekky at Bills (separate review) and enjoyed a leisurely walk along from Oxford Street end, exploring the shops and admiring the buildings along the way. For me, many of the shops were more up market than I expected, as the old second hand shops have given way to upcycled wares and carefully curated specialist vintage shops which aren't quite my thing or my price point. However it was fun to explore, and I did find a Salvos along the way where I scored some excellent value DVDs, books and clothes.

    Whilst exploring Prince Alfred Park .. I easily noticed a rainbow coloured path .. this meaningful pedestrian pathway , is within Equality Green area of this Sydney park

    The Equality Green pathway Honours Marriage Equality

    The spacious Prince Alfred Park , is another large green space , surrounded by inner city dwellings & in quick walking distance to Central Train Station

    For all ages , with lots to do .. other things I discovered within Prince Alfred Park

    * Public Barbecues
    * Basketball Court
    * Tennis Courts
    * Children Playground
    * Outdoor Fitness Zone

    There are David Jones department stores across the Sydney suburbs but this entry refers to the original flagship store on Elizabeth St in the CBD.
    Established in 1838, it holds a special place in the memory of many Sydney-siders. In its hey-day, it was the epitome of fine shopping and a trip to DJs in the city was regarded as a special outing. At Christmas time, generations of Sydney children travelled in to see the DJs Christmas window displays.
    Its been a long time since bricks and mortar stores have had that sort of allure. However the store still does their lovely Christmas window display along Castlereagh St. The theme this year is ‘A Very Wombat Christmas’, based on the children’s story of how Wombat finds the perfect Christmas present for Emu.

    Solo business trip to Sydney, dropped in to The Rover on a Saturday mid-evening for its vibe. It's bang next to Central so handy if your stay is in the CBD. Left with a happy buzz after a couple of hours at the counter top upstairs. First shout goes to Sabrina and the great team, friendly, sparky and enthusiastic, with a warm welcome and keen to guide through a tasty menu they are all rightly proud of. Next up, the food and cocktails. Had the eel pate and crumpets, Gidley burger and a special desert - a lemon meringue pie. Every bite tells the story of how much effort has been put it to use great ingredients for perfect plates of taste and texture. Sabrina shook me up a great seasonal Playing RL and mixed fab bitter, bold and balanced Negronis, all the time multitasking with chat (thank you!), working her tickets and shaking like a demon. Nice.

    The Rover, you're top of my Sydney list. I can't wait to being back a crowd.

    It is a patch of green in the city and that is a real positive but it was not that well presented or special and there are better parks around. But it was green and open.

    Fills up very quickly, so consider booking space ahead of a visit to this trendy downstairs bar in a former film distribution centre.
    Good atmospheric bar in a popular venue.

    Hello Redfern Team,
    It is some weeks now since I did my class with Narelle Clark, but I haven't forgotten the beautiful experience. I wanted to let you know what a fabulous teacher she is.
    I was more than impressed with her teaching. I have enjoyed all your teachers during my time with you, but Narelle was a standout. For the first time ever, she showed me exactly how to use the machine, how to adjust straps, how to use the headrest, how to take out the foot rests etc. I learned a lot.
    I work for Qantas and my field is customer service. So Narelle immediately stood out to me. She has those unique people skills.
    Narelle was such an advocate and had such a passion for body mindlife that I thought she must be an owner and invested in that way.
    So a big thank you to Narelle and I look forward to returning and taking one of her classes again soon. She was pretty amazing! Thank you,
    Donna Hall

    Located next to the exit/entrance in the south-east corner of Central Station are a row of statues to heroes of Latin America. The statues, footpath and surrounds are now open completely with the completion of the light rail construction.
    There is a small plaque on the plinth of each statue detailing who these people were and the date range of when they lived.

    Comfy seats, chatty staff… all in all a great cinema experience.
    We watched Anatomy of a Fall ( highly recommended) and had cuppas and cake before the showing.
    But the cinema is on the brink of being redeveloped, with a new cinema in the basement, so it’s moving south in the city for a couple of years. Four screens until the end of Feb 2024.
