Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This park was right near out hotel so we used it as a landmark and walked through it often. It is a beautiful clean green space. There's places to sit and rest and places for refreshments.

Visited on Wednesday 13th November. Has to be the most interesting fountain in Hyde Park and well worth stopping to have a look at.

Great venue for music concert on the Carhill Express overlooking Sydney's Circular Quay. Good variety of bands. Nice atmosphere despite low numbers of people due to covid. Projection of stage onto one of the buildings across the street was interesting concept. Highlight was at 10pm with 15 minute sky spectacular of 500 drones lighting the sky and manoeuvring to create various pictures .. cockatoo moving its wings, fish swimming and surfer riding the wave were my favourites. Not sure if this was the 1st year for Sydney's Elevate Festival but I will return next year.

Pretty old building that we passed on way to Sydney Tower. Located opposite Hyde park. Loved the wrought iron gates. Didn’t go inside though

A nice and well maintained formal garden contained within Hyde Park. very colourful at the moment and certainly worth stopping for a few minutes.
It might just be me but the positioning within the park means you need to seek it out as it's not on the normal walking routes.

Located on the north west corner of Hyde Park, St James Station was opened in 1926. In April 1999 it was added to the State Heritage Register. This station services the T2, Inner West & Leppington Line, the T3, Bankstown Line, and the T8, Airport & South Line.

This mural is on the walls of the pedestrian pathway that links Hyde Park and The Domain. The mural must go for close to 200 meters and covers both sides of the travel escalator.

The memorial to Dalley was installed in its current location in 1897, nine years after his death. The bronze statue is apparently life-sized and is mounted atop a pedestal which sits on a stone base. Have to admit that I'd never heard of the man and had to do my research, thankfully the pedestal inscriptions gave me good pointers.

I was taken to this pool by a person who's a visual artist and a swimmer. She showed me the murals painted by Sydney artist Wendy Sharpe. There are eight big murals along the western wall above the main pool. They were installed in 1999 and they depict highlights in the swimming and performing life of champion swimmer Annette Kellerman (1886-1975).

4 of us booked a private tour with Dave while on our visit to Sydney for a wedding. We thought this tour would get a look at lots of sights and we were right. Dave picked us up at our hotel and drove us up to the Blue Mountains. Wd saw Three Sisters, took a gondola ride and a cable car ride on an old coal mine car. Very fun! We had lunch I. Katoomba at a cute deli and a coffee stop in Leura. We went to a wildlife park and ended the day taking a ferry ride back to Sydney Harbour. Dave was informative and also let us wander on our own at each tour sight. Highly recommend.

This National Trust building was built between 1921 and 1924. It is also known as the former Manchester Unity Building. It is an excellent example of Inter-war Commercial Palazzo style

Built 1916 for the Daily Telegraph and home to hotels, bars and offices since, now it's offices with a handbag shop on the ground floor. It normally looks nice on the outside but has been behind construction hoarding for quite a while now.

We loved this tour and enjoyed our day. It was for our friend's 35th birthday girls weekend. We went to Ernest Hill wines, Pokilbin wines and a wine tasting at 4 Pines. The server at Ernest Hill was the best. She was really informative and took alot of time to explain the wines and how they are made. Our driver Joe was just so friendly and he kept us on time without making it feel rushed. The tunes on the bus were the best part. Sorry for the loud singin! Everything is so expensive these days but the tour was very good value for money and we will definitely book again.

While visiting Sydney I wanted to catch up with local friends when they finished work in the city and they suggested St James. After having a couple of drinks on the ground level we got hungry and all ordered fish and chips. The waiter suggested we sit downstairs in the bistro, which we did, and found it a very enjoyable experience for chatting and sharing wine. No doubt this will be a regular when I visit Sydney in future.
