Great pictures of all animals seen on our trip, more than we thought we would see. The over the top for our trip was how he dropped us off so close to our hotel when we returned. - Neil PSturminster Newton, UK341 contributionsI have to rate this excellent, but let me say, I HATE HEIGHTS. I did it as I bought this experience as a gift for my wife, well I couldn’t leave her to do it alone. Our guide was Charlotte and she was fantastic. These guys are really big on safety. At no time did I feel unsafe, but as I hate heights I was scared on occasions. Climbing the steep ladders up and down wasn’t great particularly with trains rumbling past, but again, I was in no danger. The views are truly stunning especially at sunset. It was very windy, but because of the suits, we were all pretty hot, still. Really enjoyed the walk to the waterfall but it was quite hard - not everyone made it!
Then we had time at several viewpoints including the 3 sisters. And even though it was cloudy, the sunset point was amazing. And a stop en route to see kangaroos! Derek was relaxed and friendly. It was a bit late starting and you have to bring all your own food and drink although there is a stop to pick food up if needed. Small group of 20. - Louise P5 contributionsAlthough you have an early start to the day 6.30am to be at central station meeting point it was well worth it. This tour has to be one of the biggest surprises I have had travelling. Port Stephens is absolutely beautiful but the highlight for us was the sand dunes. The spectacular view as you enter the starting point to hop on the 4WD vehicle it was like a desert meeting the ocean. The tour operators/ guides were terrific. Our bus driver Gordon was lovely and full of knowledge. I would highly recommend that you take sea bands or some type of Dramamine because we had about five people got violently sick on the boat because of the choppy water/motion sickness. It’s no joke and was tough to listen to. - Craig HDaegu, South Korea87 contributionsI didn't know what to expect. I thought, "well if I see one whale and get a picture, that'll be worth it". HOLY HANNAH! Once we got out of the bay and into more open water, WE WERE SURROUNDED. Saw and stayed with 4 pods, a female and her calf sometimes accompanied by an additional adult female. The calves were especially active and several times completely leapt out of the water. Our guide/boat captain/owner of this small company, Blake, is a whale whisperer. The funniest thing I remember from the trip was Blake kind of saying under his breath "Damn, it's so much more difficult when there are so many whales around...". I couldn't stop laughing. Oh, and here's a bonus....we were contacted/escorted by about 12 dolphins that were coming right up to and swimming under our boat. - Betsy L4 contributionsJoe is a fantastic guide, we can’t recommend him enough! If we could have Joe as a guide on all of our tours in Australia, we would. We had a wonderful day sight seeing the Blue Mountains. You can tell Joe enjoys what he does and is lovely to be around. He did a great job of giving us History about each location without overdoing it or boring us. The wildlife tour was a fun place to visit and to see the native animals.
