Then, we fed kangaroos and wallabies at the Sydney Zoo and wrapped up the day with a ferry through the Sydney Harbor. The weather was surprisingly cooperative with our schedule despite the forecast of thunderstorms. What a wonderful day with our guide Bob! The Blue mountains region offered spectacular natural scenery, lots of photo opportunities of the Three Sisters geologic features, Scenic World's steepest railcar ride was fun, we enjoyed time at the zoo closeup with koalas and kangaroos, and our knowledgeable tour guide/driver named Helder, worked hard to provide continuous historical, cultural, touristic and interesting facts about Sydney and Australia, with his unique sense of humor, almost comedic style. Well done, Helder! - dziekielLos Angeles, CA3 contributionsWe missed our initial trip pick up, due to a mapping error on my part, but they were very nice and rescheduled us for the next day. Our guide, Ben, picked us up downtown and right from the jump, his friendly manner and sense of humor out everyone at ease, and he immediately started filling us in on the history of all kinds of landmarks and historical events. Weather was not on our side, but ben rolled with the punches and rerouted us to try to capture the best possible views, and the final "big" view was initially completely sucked in with fog, but to make the best of it, ben told an Aboriginal tale about the 3 sisters, and over the course of the 15 minutes he was telling it, pockets of view cleared up and created a phenomenal vista for the group. The tour was a lot of fun, the kids absolutely loved the wilderness conservation, and all of the indigenous animals they had there.
My only issue is that I am over 6 feet tall, and the seats on the bus are rather cramped. We got that and more. Not only did we see vombats and kangaroos up close, we got a great guided tour through national parks, a great dinner and wonderful views. Beautiful day, I can not recommend this trip enough. And if you like wildlife, a great addition to this tour was the Flying foxes bat tour.

- SUYEONYongin, South Korea1 contributionIt was a great experience to appreciate Australian nature. Tour guide, Derek, gave us brilliant explanation about the local flora and fauna. His tour was so organized and well-planned that we could feed ourselves on proper time at Glenbrook and enjoy the sunset at Lincoln's Rock. The view was amazing and breathtaking.
Also, we could meet groups of wild kangaroos on our way to destination.
Bush-walking wasn't that much tough and I could see several cockatoos at the mountain. Aimonn from AEA Tours was our tour guide and he did an excellent job of providing very interesting commentary and information throughout the day.
We really enjoyed the Calmsley Hill City Farm and all the other beautiful sights this tour had to offer, we were also blessed with really great weather during the entire day so that definitely made the trip even more memorable.
We decided not to purchase the lunch that was extra with the package so we had lunch at the deli inside the Hydro Majestic Hotel and it was really tasty.

- Paul J3 contributionsWe had an amazing day on our Blue Mountains trip which also included a stop at the Wildlife Reserve where we had the chance to meet Koala's and other indigenous animals.
Our guide Jonathan, was a mine of information and took time to talk to us about Australian history and origins. He took the time to talk us through each of the individual stops on the route and also threw in some hidden gems that made the trip that little bit more unique.
Despite it being cold up in the mountains, Jonathan was extremely flexible and gave us time to take plenty of photos before moving on. If some of the group didnt want to get out of the bus, he was happy for them to stay put.
The picnic lunch that was provided was fantastic and of such high quality that all of us were very complimentary about it.
Unfortunately as the day progressed the weather became more inclement so Jonathan arranged for us to make an unscheduled stop at a tea shop on our way back to Sydney.
This was the second tour we had been on with Runaway Tours and I really cannot fault them on their organisational skills or their customer service as we arranged the bookings prior to travelling to Australia from the UK.
Both Steve and Mandy were exceptionally helpful and guided us perfectly to make the right decisions on both of our trips.
We wouldnt hesitate to recommend Runaway Tours because they were professional from start to finish.

The tour guide was very informative both in animals and wine. The animal experience was hands on and the animal preserve is well respected. The wine tour consisted of 3 stops and included some interesting snacks to pair with your wine. Great tour overall.
